JOB PURPOSEBAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The Engine Systems Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, operating, maintaining and repairing engine and fuel systems, and components on the Hawk aircraft and support equipment. They will maintain aircraft to support the demands of the flying operation, thus ensuring delivery of serviceable aircraft to accomplish the contractual operational and flying commitments. They will also be responsible for carrying out maintenance, diagnosing faults and administrative support to the AMO as directed by the Engine Supervisor; including but not limited to complying with all relevant company policies. They ensure the Approved Maintenance Organisation is compliant with the requirements of the M&CA Mandates and Pt145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition with regards to maintaining aircraft, its components and resource SQEP levels. They are responsible for on‑the‑job training of any assigned trainee.

They provide support to the Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) to ensure delivery of serviceable aircraft to TAGF in order to accomplish the contractual operational and flying commitments.
They shall be responsible for themselves and their peers, including training technicians and maintaining a strong safety culture whilst fault finding, repairing and delivering serviceable assets to maintain the customers daily flying programme.
They provide accurate and up‑to‑date information to their Line Managers to ensure the ETIC schedule is achieved, ensuring solutions to any arising issues are identified and rectified during maintenance activities.
The service and repair of components into the supply channel, and ensuring their area upholds efficient and effective supply discipline.
Ensuring the procedural compliance governing Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) calibration cycles, Support Equipment maintenance cycles, and the Tool Control system is kept current in their work area.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATIONHave extensive proven post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training or substantial proven experience on same aircraft type or successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP).
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role.

MAIN TASKS:
Supports the deployment of the Air defense System with the team by:
- Evaluating performance of Mobile Integrated Defense equipment.
- Performing intermediate level maintenance in his specialty as required.
- Providing support to the MTSD (Maintenance & Technical Support Depot) engineers echnicians in the field with any maintenance involving troubleshooting and repair of the Mobile Integrated Defense equipment to ensure the operability of the systems.
- Diagnosis and isolates complex electronic problems between the hardware, software and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) using a variety of electronic repair and fault isolation procedures such as system diagnostics, unit self-checks, BITE, and tools and test equipment.
- Log-book follow up and reporting.
- Inspection and periodic reporting of equipment serviceability.
- Supporting Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT) functions and travel to remote sites to perform maintenance, troubleshooting and On the Job Training (OJT).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Senior Technician diploma in Electro-mechanics / Electricity.
- Must be qualified and specialized on the Mobile Integrated Defense equipment, hardware and software, operations and maintenance
Experience
- Specialized knowledge and at least 3-5 years' experience in the area of Weapon system and associated equipment, including all system hardware and software elements.
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience on Mobile Integrated Defense equipment or similar systems.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge and experience with generic weapon system operation & maintenance.
- The technical knowhow should include Weapon system in the vehicle storage compartment: Safety Management Unit, Power Distribution Modules, Ethernet switch, Control Electronics Unit, Power Conditioning Unit, System Command and Control Unit, LMM missiles in Field Handling Containers (FHCs).
