GovCIO is currently hiring for a Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Saudi Arabia and will be an onsite position.
**Responsibilities**
Gathers information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and ensures requirements comply through formal verification methods. Translates high level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the network and system development. Designs interfaces and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.
+ Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers
+ Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts.
+ Installs all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
+ Designs, creates, and builds network services, equipment and devices.
+ Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
+ Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
+ Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
**Qualifications**
Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)

+ Clearance Required: Secret
+ Bachelors in Technical field
+ Five+ (5) years of experience as an engineer supporting C4I systems such as GCCS, NAVMACS, HF, UHF, and VHF Radios and Antennas, Tactical Data Links (Link-11, 16, 22), CENTRIXS, Network Communications, SATCOM, ADSI, or VBSS
+ Three+ (3) years o f experience working with Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) equipment such as radars, GPS, AIS, APS, CCTV, VTC, etc.
+ Experience working OCONUS in security cooperation efforts or for foreign customers (i.e., not for US military bases or US Government (USG) facilities).
+ Experience with foreign disclosure reviews or similar experience such as sanitizing technical documentation, and interacting with USG and foreign senior military/government officials,
+ Experience performing requirements analysis, including activities such as site surveys, System Operation Verification Tests (SOVTs)

**Posted Pay Range**

The role requires strengths and a background in defining architectural strategies to guide customers toward the adoption of Veeam technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual customer meeting presentations and demonstrations
- Implement and manage POCs to technical closure
- Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups, etc.
- Collaborate with the customer/partner to establish and translate business objectives into technical requirements
- Independently consult with customer base to provide technical expertise on data protection
- Work closely with the sales department to secure new partners and customers
- Work closely with Product Management to provide customer feedback
- Providing pre-sales support to customers as they evaluate Veeam software
- Trains/mentors junior staff
- Guides others in resolving complex issues in specialized area based on existing solutions or procedures
- Acts as point-of-reference for new hires and peer colleagues
Requirements:
- Demonstrated customer-facing technical experience is preferred Industry-based experience with data protection technologies
- Industry based experience in storage, network and/or cloud-based technologies strongly desired
- Basic experience working with monitoring tools and frameworks
- Basic experience in data life-cycle management with IT audit requirements is preferred
- Basic experience with virtualization technologies
- Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment; must be a high-energy, motivated self-starter and be able to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities
- Excellent time management skills required
- Deployment of software solutions into complex environments
- Understanding of Veeam and/or similar technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to present to groups
- Industry relevant professional certifications are desirable
- English / Arabic written and spoken

In This Role, You'll
- Develop an exhaustive understanding of what drives a customer’s business and what motivates their decision making
- Passionately bring to light the advantages of a Pure Storage solution
- Refine sales strategy and tactics, taking command of technical responsibilities
- Delight customers and teammates with your technical leadership and domain expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in the DAS, NAS and SAN product spaces
- Take control of evaluations and benchmarks, system configurations, and system installations
- Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations with vigor to customers and lock in the technical win with clients and prospective accounts
- Capture requirements and translate Customer’s business needs into innovative solutions to accelerate their growth and capacity
- Author responses to RFI & RFPs
- Seek out and spur new opportunities for interoperability, functional, and performance testing/validation
- Promote mutual roadmap and planning exchanges
- Liaise with product and technical marketing to produce materials (i.e. whitepaper, web presentations) that support overall alliance plans and objectives
- Stay current with the competition and ensure that materials accurately reflect the latest, differentiated solution positioning
- Move with market trends and competitive landscape to promote thought leadership within our organization
- You will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
- Pre-sales experience is required
- 5-10 years minimum experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking or systems solutions to a combination of large enterprise accounts and data centers, ideally in a Telco environment
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions
- Prior experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients
- Contribute significant portions and/or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs
- Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN)
- UNIX OS, NFS file systems and UNIX distributed network environment
- Installation/configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystem, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, windowing systems
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
- Knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP and general networking
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
- BS in CS, EE or other technical degree and/or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with modern web architecture a plus (LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, NoSQL alternatives)
- Application knowledge is highly desirable
