Job Summary:
Integrates environmental issues and requirements (as per client direction and any environmental impact assessments) into project level documents including proposing language for tenders, contracts and submittals. The role supports the integration of environmental and sustainability considerations into design specifications and criteria, organizing workshops and reviewing submittals, as well as construction plans for the Project. The role has technical responsibility to review project contributions to client sustainability goals and certifications, including establishing clarity on credit achievement requirements. W e are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist with Refinery Experience to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence organization to work under the Decarbonization and Sustainability Division to work on environmental protection and performance aspects.
Decarbonization and Sustainability Division provides support to Saudi Aramco Global Manufacturing wholly owned and affiliates' facilities in assessing and advising on the deployment and adoption of decarbonization, energy and environmental programs and initiatives. This includes identifying and analyzing operational challenges and developing engineering solutions to improve energy efficiency and GHG emissions.
Your primary role is to provide expert guidance and support in establishing environmental business plans objectives and emission baselines, developing solutions to environmental problems, conducting environmental performance calculations, daily monitoring and reporting, collecting and analyzing data to observe the GHG reduction opportunities, advising to improve the performance, and identifying deviations and developing solutions to environmental problems.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Monitor facility operating and business plans objectives are consistent and in-line with Saudi Aramco environmental protection policy and all applicable environmental policies, GIs and standards.
Identify deviations and developing solutions to environmental problems to ensure mitigation of facilities environmental risk and improve compliance to company and governmental environmental regulations.
Conduct full potential GHG and environmental assessment and provide recommendations.
Develop, review and implement Green House Gas management.
Conduct internal GHG assessment in preparation for facilities such as refineries, NGL fractionation plants, and petrochemical plants and lube manufacturing plants.
Monitor the solids and chemical disposals to guarantee a safe environmental protection in compliance with governmental regulations.
Monitor air quality, waste water and water conservation, waste management performance.
Develop, review and deployment of facilities environmental management system in alignment with ISO14001.
Develop and maintain Environmental procedures and guidelines.
Conduct internal environmental performance benchmarking studies among the oil and gas, refineries.
Minimum Requirements
As a successful candidate you will hold a
Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering
You will have at Least 17 years of experience in oil and gas refineries, petrochemical. EPI/QEP certified professional are preferred.
You will have knowledge of the oil & gas, refining industry and its environmental challenges and risks.
You will have knowledge of global / governmental environmental policies, regulations and standards.
You will have expertise in technical sustainability data, calculation methodology and limitations.
You will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of environmental engineering.
You will be familiar with ISO-14001 Environmental Management System and Requirement.
You will be familiar with development of decarbonization roadmap, GHG emission baseline and target setting.

- Lead and develop interdepartmental Project wide sustainability and environmental goals, objectives, initiatives and strategies, in collaboration with other Technical Divisions and Departments, to achieve the City’s Vision as a Smart and Sustainable City.
- Introduce, implement and monitor sustainability initiatives, considering factors such as best practices, cost-effectiveness, and technical feasibility.

- Bachelor’s Degree in an Environmental or related field.
- Ability to professionally and effectively communicate both orally and in writing
- Experience in leading and coordinating technical teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Adobe Professional, office automation products, and creating and manipulating environmental databases
