Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out energy modelling services using IES VE, Design Builder, eQUEST;
  • Carry out daylighting / thermal comfort modelling;
  • Member of Sustainability team;
  • Provides clients with energy conservation measures and solutions to meet their targets
  • Familiar with Net - Zero standards
  • Chair and conduct sustainability related site-audits
  • Participate as a team leader in carrying out specific global and local projects such as sustainable building projects, operational efficiency, etc.;
  • Quality control and review of reports;
  • Business Development Support;
  • Support the company in its rapid growth plans;
  • Site and Office Based Consultancy;
  • Coordinate with/support contractors including MEP/Civil engineers;
  • Conduct product and technology research related to sustainability;
  • Personal development and plan to develop skills necessary for promotion and growth within the company

HSE Roles, Responsibilities and Accountability:

  • In addition to your responsibility towards following ALPIN’s Integrated Management System, every employee at ALPIN is required to familiarize themselves with ALPIN’s Environmental Policy and contribute towards minimizing their individual environmental impact in the course of their work.
  • It is the duty of all employees to act within the legal responsibilities imposed upon them and the Company’s Quality, Environment and Health & Safety policies. All employees must familiarize themselves with the Company’s Integrated Management System’s policies and procedures

Skills & Other Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with both clients and consultants;
  • Background within the built environment sector (3-6 years);
  • Working Knowledge of MEP, Construction Management and Design;
  • Strong Knowledge of current sustainability standards: LEED, BREEAM, Green Star, QSAS, or Estidama;
  • At least 3 years’ experience of energy modelling using IES (preferable also with experience using other software packages)
  • LEED AP / Estidama PQP / BREEAM AP / GSAS CGP preferred;
  • Fluent written & spoken English;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline (Environmental, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering (PREFERRED), Electrical Engineering (PREFERRED), or Architecture);
  • GCC experience;
  • Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment;
  • Strong communication skills (Written, electronic & spoken)

  • Review deliverables prepared by consultants and contractors for accuracy and quality.

  • Respond to RFIs and other technical queries and coordinate with stakeholders to obtain information as required.

  • Conduct design and construction audits and site inspections and monitor Project compliance against requirements, and to monitor implementation of corrective actions.

  • Coordinate and participate in meetings with Client, environmental agencies, consultants and contractors.

  • Prepare and deliver training to Project teams.

  • Participate in regional meetings.

  • Prepare, deliver, or assist with coordination and delivery of training and awareness activities.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science or Architectural disciplines from a recognized university.

  • At least 15 years of total work experience with an EPCM or sustainability consultancy, including at least four years in a sustainability role, enabling building and infrastructure Projects to successfully achieve sustainability accreditations.

  • Accredited in one or more sustainability rating systems (e.g., LEED AP, Envision, BREEAM, Green Roads, GSAS, Estidama, AlSa’afat).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.

  • Capable of producing high quality documents in terms of grammar, composition, formatting, layout, spelling and organization.

  • Detail-oriented and thorough, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Capable of working independently to research, analyze and accurately solve technical problems.

  • Experience working with Project teams to provide technical input.

  • Experience liaising with consultants, contractors, and design and construction teams.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject

  • Project management and client interface experience
