Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustainability Consultant to lead and manage a large-scale green building certification project in Jeddah, KSA. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality sustainability consulting services, ensuring compliance with international and regional certification standards, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of a large green building certification project (LEED, WELL, Mostadam, or equivalent).
- Provide technical expertise on sustainability strategies, energy efficiency, water conservation, and indoor environmental quality.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate sustainability requirements into project design and construction.
- Manage client relationships, providing regular updates, reports, and guidance on certification progress.
- Conduct technical reviews, gap analyses, and sustainability assessments to ensure certification compliance.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including credit templates, calculations, and compliance evidence.
- Oversee sustainability workshops, stakeholder meetings, and training sessions as needed.
- Ensure all deliverables meet high-quality standards and are submitted within agreed timelines.
Essential skills:
- The candidate must have a degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Architecture, or Environmental Science), with further post-graduate education desirable (e.g., Master's degree), along with demonstrated work experience within the field.
- 7-8 years of experience across the sustainability field within the built environment.
- Professional qualifications such as LEED AP, Mostadam AP (Mandatory).

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Carry out energy modelling services using IES VE, Design Builder, eQUEST;
- Carry out daylighting / thermal comfort modelling;
- Member of Sustainability team;
- Provides clients with energy conservation measures and solutions to meet their targets
- Familiar with Net - Zero standards
- Chair and conduct sustainability related site-audits
- Participate as a team leader in carrying out specific global and local projects such as sustainable building projects, operational efficiency, etc.;
- Quality control and review of reports;
- Business Development Support;
- Support the company in its rapid growth plans;
- Site and Office Based Consultancy;
- Coordinate with/support contractors including MEP/Civil engineers;
- Conduct product and technology research related to sustainability;
- Personal development and plan to develop skills necessary for promotion and growth within the company
HSE Roles, Responsibilities and Accountability:
- In addition to your responsibility towards following ALPIN’s Integrated Management System, every employee at ALPIN is required to familiarize themselves with ALPIN’s Environmental Policy and contribute towards minimizing their individual environmental impact in the course of their work.
- It is the duty of all employees to act within the legal responsibilities imposed upon them and the Company’s Quality, Environment and Health & Safety policies. All employees must familiarize themselves with the Company’s Integrated Management System’s policies and procedures
Skills & Other Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with both clients and consultants;
- Background within the built environment sector (3-6 years);
- Working Knowledge of MEP, Construction Management and Design;
- Strong Knowledge of current sustainability standards: LEED, BREEAM, Green Star, QSAS, or Estidama;
- At least 3 years’ experience of energy modelling using IES (preferable also with experience using other software packages)
- LEED AP / Estidama PQP / BREEAM AP / GSAS CGP preferred;
- Fluent written & spoken English;
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline (Environmental, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering (PREFERRED), Electrical Engineering (PREFERRED), or Architecture);
- GCC experience;
- Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment;
- Strong communication skills (Written, electronic & spoken)
