Job Brief:

The Quantity Surveying – Database Manager will be responsible for leading the development, management, and integration of cost and revenue databases across NHC's real estate portfolio. The role combines advanced quantity surveying expertise with database management, ensuring accurate cost analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support project feasibility, monitoring, and strategic decision-making.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Must have worked previously with large-scale infrastructure and building construction companies, or registered cost consultants working on costs related to Real Estate assets.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining construction cost databases using proprietary software (e.g., Realx ERP).
• Skilled in extracting cost information from project BOQs and other sources, and collating this into user-friendly databases across NHC projects for feasibility, cost monitoring, and revenue control.
• Experience in developing other Real Estate related databases.
• Strong background in mapping & integrating/linking databases into other NHC systems (ERP, CRM, Excel, CostX, etc.).
• Proficient in measurement and taking-off quantities from drawings & specifications.
• Experienced in drafting/developing BOQs as per RICS standards.
• Familiar with IPMS – method of measurement for residential, commercial, and retail assets.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in figures.
• Strong skills in advanced Excel, including creating bespoke financial and cost models.
• Proficient in drafting management reports and developing PowerPoint presentations.
• Knowledgeable in risk management, with experience in monitoring and controlling project risks.
