Responsibilities/QualificationsAs Store Shift Supervisor at Pet Supplies Plus, you’re pawsitively passionate about people and their pets. Providing exceptional, neighborly service at every opportunity during your workday, you will:

- Assist the store’s team leaders by reinforcing the daily operational procedures and performance expectations.
- Engage with PSP neighbors and smile in the face of puppy breath.
Shift Supervisor key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with store team leaders to learn and reinforce PSP standards and daily management routines.
- Providing leadership coverage and managing store functions up to four times a week when team leaders are offsite.
- Adhering to operational policies and procedures (cleanliness, animal care, safety, and security).
- Performing back office procedures, such as making signs, updating price changes, and imputing cashier records.
- Participating in store recruiting, onboarding, and team member development.
- Communicating opportunities to improve community engagement or store performance to team leaders.
- Acting as store team members when not acting as the manager-on-duty or learning operational tasks.
PAWsome Shift Supervisor candidates will have:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of retail experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Ability to operate all equipment, including a forklift, and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, reliable transportation, and pass drug screening (where allowed by law). Must be 18 or older.

Your Opportunity
We are currently bidding for a prestigious new project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and we are looking for a Shift Supervisor who will plan, manage and supervise container terminal operations, ensuring maximum productivity through optimal utilisation of resources, while adhering to quality & safety standards.
The purpose of the project under this contract is assist Site Manager in defining the overall yard strategy, and ensure compliance with the same while assisting in defining and planning yard activities/ procedures on the lines of terminal structure, yard configuration, nature of operations, container types, and type of equipment.
The Ministry is in the process of developing and executing a transformation program. This program involves transitioning from the management of operations and maintenance contracts to the management of contracts related to assets and facilities. The Ministry’ primary objective is to achieve maximum value and benefit for the life cycle of assets and facilities within their estate.
Key Accountabilities
Assist in defining Yard Traffic Rules/ Yard Path Matrix to optimize the productivity of yard equipment and throughput capacity of the yard
Understand quay design and its impact on operational efficiency
Assist in improving quay utilization by analysing berth occupancy, vessel waiting time and related stowage planning factors
Ensure yard operations are managed in accordance with terminal policies and procedures, legislative policy, and customer requirements
Ensure yard planning is effectively managed to facilitate movement of containers
Stacking principles are followed
Corrective measures to avoid potential clashes in the yard
Optimal allocation of equipment - e.g. RTGs, reach stackers, forklifts, Empty Container Handlers (ECHs) & Straddle Carriers (until they are phased out)
Housekeeping of containers to minimize the loading time
Movements to Examination area and Delivery areas
Explain implications of container movement in the yard - cost, time and convenience
Assist in defining norms for equipment allocation to ensure optimal utilization of yard equipment
Specific Requirements
Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in container planning or operations
4 to 5 years’ experience in supervisory role in container planning operations
Experience in managing container terminal operating system (NAVIS, Cosmos, etc.)
Prior experience in managing and building teams

About the Role
As Merchandising Supervisor you will be the expert in merchandising and leading associates to deliver excellent customer service through sales floor merchandising, pricing and recovery. You will teach, coach, develop and supervise associates while consistently executing merchandising processes.
What You’ll Do

Maintaining adherence to company safety policies for the safety of all associates and customers
Key holder responsibilities include opening and closing store processes, and providing direction to associates

What Skills You Have
Required
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred
2 years experience in retail or similar industry
Experience supervising teams or associates, including the responsibility for coaching to achieve daily performance goals

Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally over 50 lbs. with a two person lift.
Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push and pull on a frequent basis.
Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift (at least 8 hours).
Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise.
Ability to comply with health and safety standards.
