• Participating in establishing standards to ensure breastfeeding training programs align with organizational goals.
• Identifying learning needs of patients and assisting in planning to meet these needs.
• Designing and implementing instructional and reference materials related to breastfeeding.
• Organizing and participating in seminars, workshops, and activities for professional development.
• Visiting new mothers to provide counseling, breastfeeding information, and support, including benefits, overcoming barriers, and initiating breastfeeding.
• Helping mothers address common breastfeeding concerns.

• Attending prenatal classes and support groups.
• Participating in patient-centered care initiatives.

As a Pediatric Certified Diabetes Educator, you will assess learning needs, develop education plans, provide education, and evaluate outcomes for patients and caregivers with diabetes. You will provide education in inpatient and outpatient settings and participate in team policy and protocol development.

You will work for a prestigious healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia, based in Riyadh, with occasional travel throughout the country to provide Concierge Pediatric Certified Diabetes Educator Services.

1. Instruct classes and conduct one-to-one consultations to educate patients about basic, intermediate, advanced, and gestational diabetes.
2. Educate patients on dietary management, including carbohydrate counting, label reading, meal planning, and dietary fats.
3. Utilize motivational interviewing and behavior modification techniques to foster behavior change and self-management skills.
4. Provide nutrition counseling for conditions such as hyperlipidemia, hypertension, weight management, and GI disorders.
5. Track and prepare reports on the status and progress of diabetic patients.
6. Identify cases of prospective and established diabetes.
7. Manage diabetes-related treatments and monitor adherence.
8. Educate patients and families on appropriate diabetes care.
9. Emphasize the importance of lifestyle changes.
10. Collaborate actively with multidisciplinary teams and strengthen existing networks.
11. Support advocacy campaigns within the organization.
12. Chair support groups for individuals with diabetes.
13. Maintain licensure by following all guidelines.
14. Participate in committees, task forces, and teams as needed.
15. Follow all organizational policies and procedures.
16. Engage in ongoing education and training for self and colleagues.
