Role Overview
The Head Educator & Training Manager will lead all training and educational programs within the hair department. This role combines advanced technical expertise with leadership and coaching — developing the team's skills, implementing training systems, and ensuring consistency and innovation across YIN's services.
You will act as the creative and technical pillar of the hair department, setting benchmarks, identifying training needs, and mentoring stylists to achieve world-class results.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement structured training programs for hairstylists — from foundation to advanced levels (cut, color, treatments, and high-end styling).
- Conduct regular workshops, one-to-one coaching, and technical demonstrations in-salon.
- Evaluate the technical performance of stylists and establish clear growth paths.
- Maintain YIN's artistic identity through consistent service quality and creative direction.
- Stay updated with international trends, techniques, and tools, introducing new services aligned with YIN's brand.
- Collaborate with brand partners (L'Oréal, Keune, Dyson, GHD, etc.) for professional education and certifications.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new stylists with technical assessments and orientation training.
- Coordinate with management to align training goals with business objectives and client expectations.
- Lead internal "Train-the-Trainer" initiatives to build future educators within YIN.
- Manage inventory and usage for educational purposes (tools, mannequins, products).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years in advanced hairstyling, coloring, and cutting — with at least 3 years in an educator or training role.
- Proven experience in luxury or high-end salon environments.
- Strong presentation and mentoring skills.
- Certified educator or trained under an international academy (e.g., Sassoon, Aveda, Toni & Guy, L'Oréal Professional, Keune, etc.) preferred.
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Passionate about continuous education, technical mastery, and creative excellence.
- Able to travel occasionally for workshops, events, and partner training sessions.
