AWS Infrastructure Operation Logistics is looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our expanding team. Logistics Specialists review Data Center inventory, inbound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure proper stock levels are maintained at all locations to support build and repair activities. Your work will ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations by operating the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Understand all aspects of transportation, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and safety standards.
- Complete manual tasks such as assembling, addressing, and arranging for the shipment of materials, handling incoming shipments, unpacking boxes, and verifying contents.
- Load and unload large equipment using pallet jacks.
- Maintain accountability of in-stock components as well as receive and process inbound shipments.
- Assist with ongoing requests to ensure proper stock levels are maintained and distributed to all locations to support build and repair activities.
- Work with the Logistics Manager to create plans and optimize the flow and delivery of parts through their lifecycle; track inventory locations and movement.
- Work closely with Datacenter Operations Technicians to fulfill parts and equipment deliveries quickly and accurately.
- Collaborate with Procurement teams to ensure inbound equipment orders are complete and delivered to appropriate Data Center locations.
- Maintain regular and ongoing communications with vendors to resolve issues and convey business requirements.
- Support an environment that operates 24/7.
- Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers.
- Load and unload shipments and transport parts, racks, and equipment between different locations, including localized driving of a variety of transportation vehicles.
- Handle sensitive/classified client materials.
- Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally work in an office environment.
- Position works in-person at a site location.
- Data entry and resolving questions from peer organizations.

Wood is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our project team supporting Ma'aden's strategic gold mine and processing facility in Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term site-based role, with an initial assignment in either our Riyadh or Al-Khobar office prior to mobilization. The successful candidate will support all logistics and procurement coordination activities to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant movement of equipment and materials to the site.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the review and execution of EPCM Contractor's logistics plans in alignment with procurement and project schedules.
- Coordinate the movement of materials, equipment, and supplies between vendors, ports, and project sites.
- Monitor shipping documentation, import/export compliance, and customs clearance processes to ensure timely delivery.
- Liaise with procurement, engineering, and construction teams to ensure logistics activities are integrated into project deliverables.
- Track and manage long-lead items and equipment, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule.
- Support vendor inspection, expediting, and factory acceptance testing (FAT) logistics arrangements.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery milestones, and logistics reports for management review.
- Proactively identify and resolve logistics-related issues, delays, or non-conformances.

Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role is central to ensuring the smooth flow of materials across our operations, from raw material collection at customer sites to the delivery of treated products to their final destination. The Logistics Coordinator will work in close collaboration with the Sales, Production, and Warehouse departments to organize and oversee all transportation activities. The role requires direct interaction with customers (after introduction by Sales), as well as the development of a reliable network of transport suppliers (land, sea, and air). The candidate must be proactive, reactive, flexible, and detail-oriented, and ensure compliance with customs regulations and insurance requirements while delivering efficient, timely, and customer-focused service. The role also includes coordinating with the Sales Department for timely collection of raw materials from customer sites and delivery to our facility for treatment.
Responsibilities, in brief, include planning and managing transportation of materials and finished goods, and coordinating with internal teams and external providers to ensure seamless operations.

- Maintain customer service level agreements with transporters and update them periodically.
- Arrange internal transfers of final products to external storage facilities when required by Production and Warehouse departments.
- Establish and maintain a reliable network of trusted land, sea, and air transport providers to cover operational needs.
- Liaise directly with customers (after Sales introduction) to organize transportation, deliver labels, and manifests when required.
- Prepare and manage all transportation documents including waybills, manifests, and shipping instructions.
- Submit invoices to the accounts department after shipment to ensure timely payment processing.
- Keep good records of ABC manifests corresponding to the materials received per truck in coordination with the warehouse department.
- Ensure customs clearance procedures are correctly executed and compliant with KSA requirements.
- Arrange and follow up on transportation insurance for goods in transit.
- Monitor shipment schedules, resolve transport-related issues promptly, and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Continuously optimize logistics processes for cost, efficiency, and compliance.
- Solid understanding of land, sea, and air transport operations.
- Practical knowledge of Incoterms and international trade rules.
- In-depth knowledge of customs clearance processes and regulatory requirements in KSA.
- Experience in handling transportation insurance.
