Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Assembly Technician to join our production team responsible for the assembly, testing, and fixing of Control and On-Off Valves and associated accessories. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of valve manufacturing processes, exceptional mechanical skills, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble all types of Control Valves, including actuators and accessories, in accordance with detailed engineering specifications, drawings, manufacturing procedures, and quality standards.
  • Interpret and follow instructions from technical drawings, manuals, and History Cards to carry out assembly operations independently and accurately.
  • Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and hydrostatic testing of valves and actuators in accordance with Emerson’s quality standards and international codes.
  • Conduct engraving and fitting of nameplates, tags, and other identification elements, ensuring compliance with traceability requirements.
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation, such as Valve Test Records, Assembly Checklists, and Inspection Reports.
  • Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) during internal and customer inspections; provide technical feedback or clarification when required.
  • Perform basic welding and tack welding on components or accessories (e.g. brackets, support plates, tags) in line with safety and welding standards.
  • Conduct visual inspections of welds and report any defects or non-conformities for rework or correction.
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and organized by strictly following 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Maintain tools, machinery, welding equipment, and fixtures in a safe, calibrated, and serviceable condition.
  • Actively support preventive maintenance activities and coordinate with engineering/maintenance teams for scheduled servicing of fixtures and tools.
  • Align with all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, including correct use of PPE, reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses via the Emerson Safety App.
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety audits as assigned.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce rework, and improve process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams including QC, Manufacturing Engineering, and Planning to resolve production issues.
  • Provide technical guidance, on-the-job training, and mentorship to junior assembly technicians or apprentices.
  • Support special testing or assembly processes as required for customized or non-standard valve configurations.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work in different assembly areas or on multiple product lines, as per operational requirements.
Who you are
  • Strong mechanical proficiency and solving skills for various valve types and accessories.
  • Familiarity with Valve Link software for diagnostics and calibration is a plus.
  • Fluent in English – reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Good communication and team collaboration skills.

Requirements
  • Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in valve assembly and testing (preferably in Emerson or similar manufacturing environments).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Conduct fugitive emission checks to ensure valves follow international emission standards (ISO/STD guidelines).
  • Operate and perform hydrostatic testing using various test benches and machines, including Ventil, PC Progetti, ITAL Control, and Maximator.

Job Summary

This position created for handling incoming receiving inspection, in process inspection and final product inspection in Quality Assurance & Control function of Flow Controls, Jubail / Spark!

Responsibilities
  • Sr. Quality Engineer :
  • Read and understand Customer / Internal specifications and international standards
  • Carry out receiving inspection as per Incoming Inspection plans
  • Issue Corrective Action Request to Suppliers and follow up for close-out
  • Review Material Test Certificates, NDE reports, valve & actuator certification pack etc.
  • Carry out in-process inspection like heat no. verification, PMI, hardness, paint DFT etc.
  • Carry out final Inspection and certification as per the PO & approved documents
  • Carry out Special testing (Fugitive emission testing) of valves
  • Perform Oracle transactions in Quality Module
  • Coordination of Customer Inspection
  • Arranging the Calibration of Instruments and maintaining the records.
  • Maintaining / updating the ISO documentations & records
  • Perform Supplier quality control activities, audits, qualification renewal, maintaining records and updating new suppliers in Worldwide Qualified Suppliers list.
  • Issue rework form to the suppliers and coordinate / visit machine shops for the same
  • Prepare and furnish supplier PPM data in global quality SharePoint and MEA
  • Provide machining related clarification to the new trim part suppliers in India and local rework machine shops
  • Preparation of Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Alerts, Safety instructions / initiatives
  • Supervise the SCAR status in MEA quality share point, Review the effectiveness of CA provided by the suppliers and close the same. Co-ordinate with the respective world area SQE on delayed Scars.
  • Prepare project specific Surface preparation & Painting procedures
  • Train and qualify Painters in Jubail and maintain qualification records of the same
  • Review project painting specifications for new projects & provide clarification on all painting related queries from PM and OE for Flow Controls
  • Co-ordinating with shop on inspection and testing done in-house and report as required by the order (DFT, MEK, dolly pull off, x cut, salt contamination, dust test, holiday test , monitoring the Blotter test and Air pressure tests and verifying the records maintained.
  • Visiting external paint / coating shops / local suppliers for audits and quality checks as required
  • Offer paint DFT and PMI inspection for Client / TPI inspectors and issue reports and supporting documents for the same
  • Participation in PIM (All orders Aramco Direct and EPC orders), KOM, Customer Project Specific visits
  • Support QP & Spec function to review Customer specifications related QMS & Factory Tests
  • Perform CSP reviews with Suppliers for sophisticated CSPs
  • Review Customer comments on QMS & Factory test procedures and provide resolution to Project lead
  • Scheduling & handling challenging project witness stage inspections
  • Support all in pipe team for smooth execution of projects
  • Verify finished equipment against IPO, using final inspection checklist
  • Create Final certificate in QA Docs for MRO and Projects
  • Review material certificates, NDE reports and test reports against PS codes, customer documentation & special requirements
  • Review Factory test results against IPO
  • Plan, Notify for Customer Inspection, offer completed products for customer inspection
  • Raise non-conformance and follow up for corrective action and close out.
  • Review Root Cause & Corrective actions to ensure effectiveness of actions
  • Liaise with third party inspectors for witnessing of inspection and ensure inspection requirements from Customer are met.
  • Part number validation in Oracle

  • Awareness of ISO Standards and Root Cause Analysis
For this role, you will need
  • Degree or equivalent experience with 5+yrs, Diploma with 8+yrs, exp. in Quality Management in Valve industry
  • Conversant with Control Valve accessories and instrumentation
Preferred Qualifications
  • BGAS or NACE paint inspector certification
  • Awareness on ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, 8D
  • Awareness or equivalent experience in HSE programs
  • Conversant with Saudi Aramco Specifications
