**Program overview:** Microsoft Ru'aa Internship is a paid six-month training program that offers globally recognized technical and professional certifications & skills, and on-the-job training to include mentoring, coaching, job shadowing and real-life scenario assignments.
**Program Details: The 6 months, full-time** program is divided into two key phases (Phase 1 - Onboarding & Skilling, Phase 2 - On The Job Training)
**Phase one** : _Onboarding & Skilling Bootcamp (1 month)_
+ Onboarding and introduction to Microsoft's mission, culture, strategy & structure.
+ Technical skilling to obtain globally recognized Microsoft technical certifications.
+ Professional and soft skilling courses including project management, change management, effective interpersonal skills, creativity and innovation, and time management.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Acts as the voice of the customer (VOC)/partner by learning to identify and share feedback around technical capabilities, gaps, blockers, and insights that relate to the customer/partner with internal teams, using established channels.
+ Solicits input from others to contribute to proposals for viable solutions based on specific technical products. demonstrates basic technical concepts and proves those design solutions capability through design collaboration sessions with the customer/partner.
+ Supports research projects and contributes to scoping surveys for customers/partners to assess potential intellectual property (IP) needs or process changes.

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Currently pursuing/ completed a Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (OR must be recent graduates or recently graduated)
+ Saudi nationality
+ Legally authorized to work in Saudi Arabia (Legally authorized = Has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit)
+ Fluency in English.
**Preferred Qualifications**

Job Overview:

The Technical Design Manager will oversee the technical aspects of the design process. The role involves leading a team of designers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality design execution, and managing technical aspects of the design lifecycle from concept through production. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, technical proficiency, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Technical Design Efforts:
    Direct and manage the technical design process. Collaborate with product development, engineering, and production teams to ensure designs are technically feasible. Translate business and product requirements into technical design specifications.
  2. Team Management:
    Manage, mentor, and develop a team of designers and engineers. Provide guidance and feedback to ensure adherence to technical design standards and best practices. Foster a collaborative environment with product managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to achieve design objectives.
  3. Quality Control:
    Review and evaluate designs to ensure they meet technical requirements, quality standards, and regulations. Ensure that designs align with industry standards and company policies. Implement processes for ongoing design improvements and cost optimization.
  4. Project Management:
    Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables for multiple design projects. Track project progress and resolve issues or roadblocks to ensure successful completion. Conduct design reviews and provide feedback at various stages of the design process.
  5. Process Improvement & Innovation:
    Continuously analyze and improve technical design processes to enhance productivity and design quality. Identify new technologies, tools, and methodologies to optimize design execution and innovation.
  6. Documentation & Reporting:
    Prepare and maintain detailed documentation on technical specifications, designs, and changes. Provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders on project progress, issues, and results.
Requirements
  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, Product Development, Fashion Design, or related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification may be preferred.
  • Experience:
    10+ years of experience in technical design and product development. Experience in managing design teams and large-scale design projects. Proven track record of bringing products from concept to production. Proficient in design software AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Additional Desired Skills (Optional):
    Experience in Agile, CAD, 3D modeling. Knowledge of sustainable design practices and new manufacturing technologies.
