We are looking for a Saudi national associate with 0-2 years PQE to join one of our clients in their Riyadh Office.
Their team is structured into the following practice areas: Disputes, Employment, Corporate and Commercial. The successful candidate will work predominantly within Corporate and Employment, although it may be necessary to complete worth within the other areas occasionally.
Their Associates are responsible for a caseload of litigation and arbitration cases with a broad spectrum of work in value and complexity. They provide advice and assessments on specific legal issues, offering commercially sound and pragmatic solutions and are involved at every stage of the process. With appropriate supervision, they are responsible for directions, hearings, trial and settlement discussions, mediations, and other forms. The associates will also be responsible for maintaining management information under the terms of the client service level agreement.
We are keen to hear from qualified solicitors and associates with experience in the Court and Arbitration process and an understanding of the enforcement procedures and commercial claims. Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive when working closely within a team and to forge excellent relationships with other parties, such as experts and other stakeholders, are key. Arabic and English drafting and communication skills are also essential to success in the role.

Delivery of all legal services (directly and using external resource, where approved) for the zone.
- Oversight and delivery all legal services in domestic and international bids with a specific focus in commercial contract review (including distributor agreements), strong collaboration and coordination with the Legal Team in the Region.

Requirements:
- Fully qualified lawyer authorized to practice law in Saudi Arabia
- Seven - eight( 7 / 8) or more years’ relevant post qualification experience, ideally in an in-house environment & preferably in a Construction, Oil & Energy, or Renewables & Environment sector.
- Native in Arabic.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

About the role
As part of Mozn’s expanding legal function, the Legal Counsel will play a pivotal role in supporting commercial contracting, compliance, and strategic initiatives. You will work closely with vendors, technology partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure legal and regulatory alignment across international operations. This role is key to enabling Mozn’s growth in the GCC and North Africa while ensuring robust risk mitigation and IP protection frameworks are in place.
What you'll do
- Lead the drafting, negotiation, and review of a wide range of commercial contracts , including SaaS agreements, vendor partnerships, service contracts, NDAs, and data-sharing agreements.
- Provide legal counsel on software licensing , IP protection , data privacy , and compliance across jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Procurement, Compliance) to align legal strategies with business goals.
- Serve as the legal point of contact for contract lifecycle management, including vendor onboarding and renewal negotiations.
- Ensure contract templates, terms, and clauses are kept up to date with evolving regulatory and commercial requirements.
- Support legal operations and regulatory readiness as part of Mozn’s regional expansion—particularly in Egypt and the UAE.
- Maintain internal documentation and provide training where needed to teams interacting with external parties.
- Assist with external counsel management, budget alignment, and risk assessments on high-stakes contracts.
Qualifications
- Law degree from a recognized institution; license to practice in Egypt, UAE, or other relevant jurisdictions.
- 7–10 years of experience as a Commercial Lawyer or Legal Counsel—preferably in tech, SaaS, or enterprise software sectors.
- Proven experience drafting, negotiating, and managing large-scale software licensing , vendor , and partnership agreements .
- Strong understanding of intellectual property , confidentiality , IT law , and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PDPL) .
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and verbal).
- Experience working in or with international organizations and technology vendors .
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and contract risk management capabilities.
