The technician will play a key role in the electrical installation, testing, and support of systems related to solar energy and T&D (Transmission & Distribution) substations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical installations on-site according to engineering drawings and safety standards.

• Installation and testing of transformers, circuit breakers, batteries, UPS systems, charging units, and solar power systems.

• Lay, connect, and terminate low and medium voltage cables.

• Support electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

• Ensure adherence to electrical safety and quality standards at the site.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD).

• Submit daily work progress reports to the site engineer or project manager.

Requirements:

• Diploma or technical certificate in Electrical Technology or equivalent from a recognized institute.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical installation work, preferably in solar or substation projects.

• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and use electrical testing tools.

Electrical Systems Trainer

Electrical Systems Trainer
to deliver hands-on and theoretical training to technical trainees in Riyadh. The role focuses on applied electrical and electronic systems training in a modern vocational/industrial setting.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver training in electrical systems, circuits, power distribution, diagnostics, and PCB assembly.
• Prepare lesson plans, workshops, and assessments aligned with industry standards.
• Support trainees with mentoring, progress monitoring, and feedback.
• Ensure equipment and labs are maintained to safety standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical or electronics systems (manufacturing/defense preferred).

Job Summary:

Contribute to initiate, plan, and execute projects that enable renewable energy technologies and applications for deployment and commercialization in the Kingdom either by advancement through higher levels of TRL or by testing, modification, or adaptation of standards for mature technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Review the plans and programs that have been put for the development of renewable energy programs and technologies in order to make recommendations in a way that contributes to meeting the needs of Saudi Arabia in these sectors.
• Review the main developments in the renewable energy field to assess the technologies developed in this area, suggest scientific methods and implement the most suitable ones.
• Identify and benchmark world-class renewable energy technologies and programs, assessing their feasibility for localization and integration into Saudi Arabia's energy ecosystem.
• Provide the needed technical support to analyze reports issued by the Studies and Research Sector on the renewable energy sector.
• Provide recommendations on utilizing programs and technologies in a way that allows benefitting from them in the renewable energy sector.
• Study the challenges that may raise during implementing the development plans of the renewable energy sector programs and technologies and recommend practices to overcome those challenges.
• Lead in-depth studies on energy demand forecasting and sustainability-driven solutions to enhance Saudi Arabia's energy security and transition toward a diversified energy mix.
• Provide the needed support to develop and implement renewable energy agreements and projects by thoroughly studying the technologies used in implementing those projects and agreements.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in evaluating emerging technologies and applications relevant to small and medium-scale renewable energy technologies, including cooling, heating, and water desalination technologies, assessing their potential benefits, limitations, and associated risks.
2. Contribute to the analysis and review of tools, platforms, and systems used in technical operations and recommend enhancements to improve infrastructure and performance.
3. Job Purpose

Ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical backup systems across DACO's airport infrastructure. Support the reliable performance of generators, UPS systems, batteries, and emergency lighting to ensure continuous operations during power outages and critical incidents.

Position Accountability

1. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all electrical backup systems, including generators, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, batteries, and emergency lighting, ensuring full operational readiness.

2. Monitor the operation of backup power systems to ensure seamless transitions during power outages and maintain continuous power to critical infrastructure.

3. Troubleshoot and repair electrical backup systems, coordinating with vendors and service providers for advanced repairs or replacements when necessary.

4. Ensure compliance with DACO's safety regulations and electrical standards, updating and maintaining all electrical backup systems in line with industry best practices.

5. Assist in the installation and setup of new electrical backup systems, ensuring proper configuration and integration with existing systems.

6. Monitor the fuel supply and condition for generators, ensuring they are ready for immediate use in case of emergencies.

7. Ensure that batteries and UPS systems are tested and maintained regularly to prevent downtime and enhance system reliability.

5. Establish a comprehensive energy audit and de-carbonization program specifically for rotating equipment
6. Analyze and address design issues (e.g., oversizing) and Operational issues (e.g, excessive recycling, inefficient stand-by practices)
