We are hiring a Software Maintenance Engineer to…

…work in a dynamic and exciting engineering role in Linux-based infrastructure and applications, covering all layers of the stack, including bare metal, virtualization (KVM), containerization (Docker/LXC/LXD), storage (Ceph and Linux filesystems), networking (OVS, OVN and Core networking), OpenStack, Kubernetes and the open source applications running on top of them. It will challenge you to show the breadth of your engineering skills, which will be needed to work on almost any aspect of Ubuntu and the open source applications large enterprise customers run.

This role is an opportunity for a technologist with a passion for Linux and open source to build a career with Canonical and drive success for our customers, community and the company. This role deals with critical issues in the open source stack that require upstream bug fixes. Our engineers are able to work productively at any level of the stack including the kernel and in a wide range of languages, to understand and address the software issues at hand. Our group is critical to the success of our customers, partners and Ubuntu itself.

You will help with troubleshooting and driving issues to resolution with workarounds, guidance, and bug fixes to be released upstream and in Ubuntu.

Location: This is a remote role, we have teams in all time zones.

Main Tasks
  • Support the deployment of the Air Defense System with the team by evaluating the performance of radar and C2 equipment.
  • Perform intermediate level maintenance in your specialty as required.
  • Provide support to the MTSD (Maintenance & Technical Support Depot) engineers and technicians in the field with maintenance involving troubleshooting and repair of radar and C2 systems to ensure operability.

Qualifications
  • Senior Technician diploma in Electro-mechanics or Electricity.
  • Specialized training and certification in Radar or C2 systems.
  • Proficiency in English; French and Arabic are advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience with ground high-power 3-D radar sensors and associated hardware/software.
  • Experience with Radar or C2 systems for at least 3-5 years.
  • Knowledge of radar and C2 operation and maintenance, including antennas, processors, data transmission, and power systems.

Job Description

MAIN TASKS:

Supports the MTSD (Maintenance & Technical Support Depot) team by:

  • Actively advising and assisting in all aspects of his specialty.
  • Monitoring and analyzing factors that affect operational availability, system performance, support chain performance, and recommending/implementing corrective actions locally but also with the team located in France.
  • Evaluating performance of the system, data handling and communication equipment.
  • Monitoring the Built-In Test equipmentsoftware, analyze the results and recommend improvements.
  • Performing intermediate level maintenance (Field Maintenance FM) in his specialty as required.
  • Perform diagnostic checks, specialized maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the radar and the C2 to ensure it remain operationally ready.
  • Diagnosis and isolates complex electronic problems between the hardware, software and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) using a variety of electronic repair and fault isolation procedures such as system diagnostics, unit self-checks, BITE, and tools and test equipment.

Desired Candidate Profile

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Radar Technology.
  • Specialized training and certification in each area of expertise with Radars or/and C2.
  • You speak English (French & Arabic are an advantage) with excellent communication and interpersonal relationship management skills

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of knowledge, experience in operational and maintenance of PSRSSR Radars, C2 and communication equipment. The experience should include installation, testing, integration, upgrades and modifications of radar and C2.
  • Overall experience with radars should include Radar, Primary/Secondary, all aspects of Radar plot extractors, and interface equipment.

A leading bank is looking for application support engineers. This position requires candidates to work with application vendors to deploy banking-related applications and document the whole process (including HLD and LLD diagrams of the application environment).

  1. Windows 2008/2012 (including clusters)
  2. IIS 7.0 - 8.0
  3. SharePoint 2010/2013
  4. SQL Server 2008/2012 (including clusters)
  5. SSIS and SSRS
  6. WebSphere Application Server 7.0 - 8.5
  7. WebSphere MQ 6.0 - 7.5
  8. Microsoft Visio 2010+
  9. Microsoft Project 2010+
  10. Job automation using PowerShell and/or VBScript

Candidates with the following skills will be given preference:
