**POSITION SUMMARY**
Receive, unload, and process deliveries and account for incoming freight based on invoice and receiving reports. Stage merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, and deliver merchandise to appropriate department. Verify and track received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs. Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy. Receive, store, ship, and deliver incoming and outgoing department packages and mail. Secure the receiving room and its contents, ensuring safekeeping of packages. Follow all national, state, and local hazardous material shipping guidelines and regulations. Ship all out-going mail and packages. Verify quantity and condition of packages upon receipt prior to delivery to guest. Communicate with guest regarding received packages. Maintain accurate tracking system on all shipping and receiving transactions, including receiving guest signatures for received packages. Communicate with proper management regarding any loss or damage with packages.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects). Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

**Job Summary**:
The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for receiving all the items ordered by the hotel and ensuring that all goods have properly ordered, and that they meet prescribed quantity specifications set by the user departments.
As a Receiving Clerk, we rely on you to,
Ensure follow the receiving procedure and porters in the delivery of direct issue items to the kitchen and other departments.
Inspect and verify all goods received and ensure these confirm to the purchase specifications.
To keep accurate records of all transactions.
To ensure all the receiving documents are properly filed.
Knowledge of all goods so that could judge the quality if merchandise received.
Reports to the receiving supervisor any deviations from standard receiving procedures.
Key in the transaction into computer system.
Check & verify all goods received and ensure these conform purchase specifications.
Ensure all goods received or rejected are properly documented.
Keeping the receiving area always clean.
Be environmentally friendly, reduce waste, recycle when possible, and reuse whenever applicable.
**What we are Looking For**:
Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar capacity for a large company, preferably a hotel.
Ability to work long hours and shifts.
Communicates and writes with fluency in English (as well as the Arabic language)
Computer Knowledge.
Ability to work independently. etc.

What will I be doing?
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for all activities related to the Hotel's goods receiving process and recording of goods received in close co-operation with the Accounts Payable / OTP (Order to Procure department). Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Oversees and records all activities related to accurate receivable procedures in terms of quantitive and quality controls, order approval documents and passing on of received goods to the relevant inhouse departments.
- The Receiving Clerk is also ensuring that any goods, material and equipment leaving the hotel is recorded, accounted for and internally approved.
- Assists in any other way deemed necessary for the efficient overall operation of the Accounts Payable / OTP (Order to Procure department) in full compliance with the policy, regulatory and contractual framework.
- Business partner with all hotel finance team members and all departments.
