MAIN OBJECTIVE OF JOB:
Deliver an independent review of revenue, cost and performance of the Salam Capability projects area, providing sound financial support and advice to both the Salam Programme Leadership and the Finance Function, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers and evaluating processes to ensure that robust, relevant and adequate financial controls are in place.
Responsibilities
· The provision of financial management services to the Salam Programme.
· Ensure that each Project operates an appropriate and effective set of financial controls and ensure the overall integrity of the accounts (including CSR’s, IBP, reporting etc.) adhering to the Financial Policies Manual at all times.
· Provide financial advice, and support for business development including financial modelling and will challenge business development activities in terms of alignment to business strategy, assessment of opportunities and associated investment and the likelihood and level of financial returns versus risk.
· In the CSR review take responsibility for all trading plans, challenge estimates to complete, support the decision making process and challenge the performance of contracts to ensure financial targets are optimised.
· Create and challenge key IBP assumptions. Direct, coordinate and undertake the IBP process in the Project area and challenge and analyse inputs.
· Undertake financial reporting and forecasting for the Projects and provide input to Business Unit internal & external reporting.
· Instil a cash awareness culture on the Projects and manage cash flow to optimise working capital.
· Provision of Financial advice and support to senior members of the Project team
· Coaching non-finance employees on related matters
· Ensure that bids are based on the correct charging rates and have responsibility for the cash flow analysis provided in the RBA process. Review the bid from a financial perspective providing financial modelling, financial support and advice and challenge from a financial perspective. Liaise with the Group Treasury and Tax departments to ensure all parties have been involved with the bid.
· Recruit, retain and develop employees to ensure responsibilities are discharged in a professional manner with an emphasis on supporting and promoting Saudisation
· Assist on an as required basis in the development of the new business prospects as they progress through the bid phases of the lifecycle.
Job Requirements:
· The role of Finance Manager requires the individual to have a strong knowledge of BAE Systems and the defence industry. They must be competent in understanding the Operational Framework and the corporate and business policies of BAE Systems Saudi Arabia. The job holder should be up to date with the relevant accounting regulations and understand the internal processes such as LCM.
· The Job Holder must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 5 years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance roles
