The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for building and executing the territory strategy to grow our existing business in the Eastern Region. Requirements
  • 8 years Security industry sales experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience in Signature brands, retail, banking or similar experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication (presentation, oral, written) skills.
  • Ability to work in a complex sales environment at all levels.
  • Candidates with demonstrable business acumen and technical disposition will be preferred.
  • Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with customers, integrators, consultants.
  • Prepared to travel on the Eastern region, 50-60%+ travel is expected in this role.
  • Excellent at managing time, priorities and expenses.

Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to:

  • Play a strategic and operational role in developing “clients” business activities, as a member of Senior Management Team.
  • Develop new business relationships, services and products; and generate and negotiate new contracts for “client.”
  • Oversee the effective delivery of “client’s” business activities.
  • Lead and manage the RFP process, including creation, distribution, and follow-up with vendors.
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with potential vendors, ensuring alignment with our client's requirements. Foster strong, ongoing relationships with a diverse range of vendors, negotiating terms and handling regular communications.
  • Manage the vendor selection process, conducting thorough evaluations to ensure the best fit for our client's needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary inputs for RFPs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Engage with key stakeholders at various levels, both internally and externally, to ensure clear communication and effective management of expectations throughout the RFP process.
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance, maintaining high standards of service and quality.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and dynamics to continuously refine our vendor engagement strategy.

Key Tasks:

Strategic Direction

  • Work with the Deputy secretariate and Directors to devise and implement various business plans, reports, and forecasts for the short and longer term to enhance the external profile of “clients” business activities and maximize services benefits opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for “client’s” business plans and lead the staff team to ensure these are achieved.
  • Oversee the effective and efficient delivery of “client’s” business and activities including the monitoring of all related responsibilities.

Operational Direction

  • Take responsibility for bringing the Help at Home service to market and for managing this going forwards, including effective service delivery to agreed organization standards, staff management and budget management.
  • Work with the Head of Operations, to take responsibility for developing agreed additional sustainable commercial activities (if exist).
  • Introduce new products and services to the external environment and take responsibility for direct selling and meeting targets.
  • Maintain effective relationships with “client’s” existing clients in order to retain business.
  • Present “client” to potential clients through communication in face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and emails.
  • Manage “the services and products” sales process actively and successfully: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close.
  • Create and be accountable for all “client” proposals, contracts, and any further documentation, following “client’s” procedures.
  • Respond to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner.
  • Analyze and expand business operations toward performance efficiency.
  • Evaluate privatization opportunities to enhance service performance and reduce the operation cost.
  • Identify and develop new initiatives of business based on customer needs.
  • Develop customer relationships and strengthen sector partnerships.
  • Perform benchmarks and business-related studies to introduce new initiatives, product, and services towards customer satisfaction.

General

  • Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff and volunteers in their development and training.
  • Undertake such other duties and training as may be reasonably required and which are commensurate with the nature and grading of the post.
  • Contribute to “client’s” Vision and Mission and strive to always exhibit the Values and Behaviors.
  • Comply with all legislative requirements, together with the policies and procedures of the organization and ensure this is applied by staff and volunteers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, specializing in RFP management, vendor relations, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement principles.
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively and build robust professional relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. A master’s degree is preferable. Proficiency in both Arabic and English.

We are looking to hire a Business Development Manager (BDM) with 5-10 years’ experience in sales of banking and payment solutions. The BDM must have worked with all renowned banks in Saudi Arabia and will be responsible for the sales cycle from cold calls to signing contracts to recurring maintenance. BDM will perform market analysis and will develop the relationships with the management and senior staff in the banking and Financial Service Industry.

Responsibilities
  1. Achieve and enhance sales targets established by ProgressSoft.
  2. Prepare and execute a sales plan for Saudi Arabia's market which meets ProgressSoft’s Strategy and Business plan.
  3. Manage the whole sales cycle, coordinating with Product Owners, Project Managers and Technical Team Leaders.
  4. Work with related ProgressSoft team to ensure proper engagement with customers and understanding their requirements.
  5. Cooperate with the Bidding Team to deliver documents and proposals which detail the Business Requirement and ProgressSoft competence.
  6. Negotiate proposals and contracts of solutions and recurring maintenance.
  7. Excessive use of ProgressSoft’s CRM to build and update client profiles.
  8. Analyze and prepare comparison sheets between ProgressSoft and competitive products.
  9. Identify new markets and opportunities.
  10. Develop strong distribution channels with renowned global, regional and local firms.
Requirements
  1. Proven track record of sales in Saudi Arabia, in the banking and financial sector.
  2. Ability to deal with all levels of staff within an organization.
  3. Strong negotiation skills with decision makers.
  4. Excellent command of the English language.
  5. Very good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  6. Very good understanding of banking and payments systems.
  7. Organized, focused, ambitious and independent.
