Direct Responsibilities

ØProactive monitoring performance of database server, database engine, queries and highlight to APS/Development team in case of any abnormalities and provide fix/workaround for DB performance issue.

ØDaily Health & Space check of Oracle/SQL server databases for seamless business functionality support.

ØTo identify/resolve complex DB issues or to resolve DB BUGs.

ØDaily DR server and DR DB health check to ensure full recoverability in case of any type of Disaster.

ØImplement high-availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning strategies for database systems.

ØConducting and performing DB restore drills frequently to ensure recoverability of data from TAPE or third party tools.

ØPerforming DB failover/Switchover during of DR Live play and DR technical tests.

ØSupport Development/APS/Projects team to perform new functionality deployment in UAT and Production environments.

ØDB Clone from Production environment to Non-Production environments as per request from Projects Team.

ØMaintain and update database inventory time to time for obsolescence management and licencing.

ØLiaise with IT security and production security team to maintain security of databases and implement security related updates on databases.

ØApply Database Patches as per BNP Guidelines, frequently as well as whenever required.

ØInstallation of database software for new projects and configure new databases as per BNP standards.

ØUpgrade Databases to new version to manage obsolescence in timely manner.

ØEnsure all IT related tasks are performed within given deadline.

ØEnsuring effective collaboration with all teams in the IT Department.

ØTo create effective working relationships with cross-functional IT / business / support teams to ensure that systems and projects are delivered on time and according to the success criteria

ØTo ensure that required process and projects steps are understood and performed to standard

ØTo identify, implement and participate in continuous process improvements to IT policies, processes, procedures and documentation in line with the group compliance.

ØTo monitor, and report on, the progress of approved projects against targets and budgets and the quality of work, taking any necessary corrective action.

ØParticipating in fulfilling requirement of internal audits and inspection missions.

ØAssisting line manager in budget and project related work.
