Job Description:

Process Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the petrochemical industry, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing process design, troubleshooting plant operations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across petrochemical production units (e.g., ethylene, propylene, aromatics, methanol, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead process engineering activities for petrochemical plants including design, simulation, optimization, and debottlenecking.

• Develop and update PFDs, P&IDs, and mass and energy balances for process units.

Job Purpose

The Process Design Engineer will be responsible for providing process design support for modifications to existing manufacturing facilities as well as new process equipment or unit installations. This role involves leading all process engineering activities during the project definition and design stages, and providing necessary process inputs to ensure safe and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Support technical studies during the project initiation phase, assist in evaluating alternatives, and contribute to the preparation of cost estimates for selected options.

Collaborate with manufacturing representatives, design, and process automation teams to optimize process designs, operating modes, control strategies, and layouts during the project definition stage.

Develop process engineering deliverables including process simulations, PFDs, material and energy balances, equipment sizing, and process control strategies for project definition documentation.

Overview

We are seeking a Process Engineer with extensive hands-on expertise in Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU) and Sour Water Stripper (SWS) processes to join the Downstream Operation Engineering Solutions Department (OESD). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of optimizing SRU & SWS operations in refinery and petrochemical plant settings.

The primary role is to provide in-depth process engineering and operations expertise to monitor, optimize, and drive performance improvement programs for refineries' SRU & SWS, including both remote and on-site technical advisory support, benchmarking, and technology knowledge management.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

• Conduct regular performance reviews of existing SRU & SWS facilities, analyzing KPIs related to operability, profitability, reliability, and process safety. Develop and present quarterly benchmarking reports with actionable improvement recommendations.
• Develop and distribute bi-monthly SRU & SWS technical best practices bulletins, ensuring knowledge dissemination across Global Manufacturing facilities.

• A minimum of 15 years of total refinery or gas plants process units experience, with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in handling SRUs SWS plants.
