We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Security Systems Engineer
to support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of advanced electronic security systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in operating systems, databases, networking, and virtualization, with an added advantage for experience in security systems software and integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain security system servers and applications (VMS, access control, intrusion detection, etc.).
- Support and troubleshoot systems running on Windows Server OS, MS SQL, and VMware or Hyper-V platforms.
- Design and implement network configurations, ensuring secure and reliable system communication.
- Configure and support Microsoft Failover Clustering for high availability environments.
- Collaborate with project and support teams to deploy and integrate security systems in client environments.
- Perform system diagnostics and resolve issues related to software, database, or network connectivity.
- Ensure proper system documentation, backup, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors for advanced support and updates to security platforms.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems engineering roles.
Strong experience with:
Windows Server OS
- MS SQL Server
- Virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, firewalls)

- Monitor corrective maintenance tickets in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and ensure compliance with the rectification periods sets in the contract.
- Work closely with services providers to implement security system maintenance policies, process and procedure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to security equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for equipment repairs and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and service requests.
- Train end-users on the proper use of security systems and equipment.
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements to enhance security measures.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in security systems.
- Diploma or degree in Electronics, Security Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of related experience working in systems maintenance and/or inspection.
- Strong knowledge of electronic security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for working with clients and team members.

Job Purpose:
The Head of Control Systems Security Unit leads and coordinates efforts to protect Industrial Control Systems (ICS/SCADA) from cyber risks and threats. This includes developing and implementing security policies and procedures, overseeing the application of relevant national and international standards and controls, and ensuring the operational infrastructure complies with cybersecurity requirements. The role also plays a key part in risk management, incident response, and the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, contributing to strengthening the security and reliability of operational systems and safeguarding the organization's critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security measures to protect the control systems network from unauthorized access attempts and external threats, using firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and advanced protection technologies.
- Apply security techniques to control system components (servers, workstations, network devices) by disabling unnecessary services, removing unused accounts, and performing regular security updates and patches.
- Supervise monitoring and incident response activities within control systems, including incident analysis and reporting.
- Collect and analyze security incident data to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses, and leverage findings to continuously improve security measures and reduce future risks.
- Protect control system hardware, software, networks, and databases from potential threats and attacks.
- Conduct and implement periodic security assessments and audits of control system infrastructure, identifying vulnerabilities and addressing them with appropriate security controls.
- Apply cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with the National Cybersecurity Authority standards and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Verify compliance of operational infrastructure with cybersecurity requirements for control systems and ensure alignment with regulatory obligations.
- Address feedback issued by the Cybersecurity Department and prepare proactive security measures to safeguard the operational control systems infrastructure.
- Develop and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans related to control system security, in coordination with the Technical Business Continuity Unit.
- Identify and manage security risks specific to control systems, in accordance with methodologies and standards approved by Risk and Compliance Management.
- Provide a regular reports to the management about OT cybersecurity readiness and represent the department with the internal and external stakeholders in terms of OT cybersecurity.
- Identify workforce needs to achieve the unit's objectives.
- Evaluate employee performance, monitor achievement of individual goals, and participate in identifying training and development needs to boost productivity and enhance performance.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment among employees within the unit.
Academic Qualifications and Professional Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent.
- Professional certification in
OT cybersecurity
from a globally recognized association is preferred.
Years of Experience
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in similar roles within local, regional, or international organizations.
- Experience in the public sector within Saudi Arabia is preferred.
