Key Responsibilities Third-Party Firewall & NVA Architecture- Lead the design, deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of third-party Network Virtual Appliances (NVAs) such as Palo Alto VM-Series, F5 BIG-IP, and Fortinet FortiGate.
- Implement high-availability (HA) configurations for firewalls and establish robust traffic inspection patterns for both north-south (ingress/egress) and east-west traffic.
- Integrate NVAs with cloud-native routing, load balancing, and automation services.
- A core responsibility is to build the security and network infrastructure for landing zones.
- Define and implement hub-and-spoke network topologies, Shared VPC/VNet designs, subnetting and IP address management (IPAM) strategies, and centralized ingress/egress points.
- Establish network segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies to create secure zones and control traffic flow between workloads.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls (e.g., GCP Firewall Rules, AWS Security Groups), Web Application Firewalls (WAF like Cloud Armor), DDoS protection, and load balancers.
- Configure and maintain secure hybrid connectivity using Cloud VPN, Interconnect/Direct Connect, and SD-WAN integrations.
- Automate the provisioning and configuration of all network and security resources using Terraform.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting for network services to ensure performance and availability.
- Act as the subject matter expert for troubleshooting complex network and security issues, and participate in incident response activities.
Collaborate with application and DevOps teams to ensure their networking and security requirements are met in a secure and automated fashion.
Qualifications & Requirements- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience : 5+ years of experience in Security Engineering roles.
- Hands-on expertise with strong experience in Microsoft Azure IAM SME with expertise in:
