Scope and Functions of the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to join our leadership and operations team in Riyadh, KSA . The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, managing school fees, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting ERP implementation. Prior experience in a school environment is essential, as is strong command over IFRS, Saudi tax laws, and hands-on ERP experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Accounting
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in line with IFRS.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable, including billing and fee collection.
- Oversee revenue recognition and maintain the general ledger.
- Manage payroll and statutory payments.
- Liaise with auditors and produce ad-hoc financial reports.
- MIS, Budgeting & Coordination
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings; prepare monthly MIS reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting; provide financial analysis to support school leadership.
- Monitor expenses and recommend cost optimisations.
- Act as the finance liaison for school principals and head office teams.
- Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Saudi taxation laws (VAT, Zakat).
- Prepare and submit returns as required and remain updated on regulatory changes.
- ERP Management
- Lead ERP implementation and integration for financial operations.
- Provide training and ongoing support to system users within the finance function.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CMA, or similar) is preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in accounting, ideally within a school in Saudi Arabia or the GCC .
- Proven experience with ERP implementation and financial systems.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi tax regulations , including VAT and Zakat .
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) is required for effective communication with school leadership, regulatory bodies, and central teams.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and service-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with HR systems is advantageous.

**JOB PURPOSE**
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The Job Holder is directly responsible to the Training Design, Development, and Testing (TDDT) Manager (on behalf of the Head of Training Support). The Lead Instructional Development Specialist will lead a courseware development team of Instructional Developers. These design activities will be across multiple specialties and will require direct liaison with multiple stakeholders. Working closely with the instructional developers, multi-media specialists, STANEVAL and Senior Instructor SMEs to ensure the effective development and deployment of new and revised training material in accordance with the design requirements.
**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
The job-holder will be accountable to the Training Design, Development, and Testing
(TDDT) Manager for the following:
- Provide expert guidance to the team during the building of new courseware.
- Support the development, capture and reporting of performance metrics.
- Perform design and development activities, ensuring achievement of targets in terms of cost, quality and schedule.
- Provide support in engagement and management of the RSAF Customer to develop an understanding of local expectations as they relate to current and future management and delivery of academic training.
- Ensure the new courseware is both creative and engaging across multiple specialties.
- Use best practice for design to ensure standardised functional and well designed multimedia components are incorporated in the courseware.
- Work with Senior Instructor SME5 to develop, innovative, creative and engaging courseware design concepts in accordance with company and client branding.
- Review and co-ordinate rework from the design team.
- Training and mentoring of all Design and Development staff in the SAT process.
- Support the development, implementation and continual improvement of toolsets that support and govern the design process.
- Identify and report opportunities for continual improvement.
- Keep up to date in area(s) of expertise to enable training services provided to be fully current and to help the Business be aware of new developments.
**RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION**
**_Essential_**
- Educated to Bachelor or Master’s Degree, preferably obtained studying at a University in an English speaking country or equivalent.
- A recognised formal instructor qualification.
- Experience in instructional development or course design.
- English language ability to IELTS 6.5 (Academic) or equivalent, achieved proven experience for non-native speakers.
- A sound working knowledge of the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) or Instructional Systems Development (ISD). Preferred working knowledge of RSAF
- Training Standards, Curriculum Design and Development processes and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills and a team player.
- Proven extensive teaching/Instructional experience.
- Extensive experience as a Training Designer, preferably in a military training environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of configuration management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance activities.
- Ability to establish, maintain, and grow relationships with various levels within the organisation.
- Be able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work fast and effectively to meet deadlines.
- Appropriate experience in the development, management and delivery of academic education and training programmes, preferably in a military training environment.
- Knowledge and experience of dealing with external qualification bodies.
- Good knowledge of training methodologies, analysis, design and delivery, and a proven ability to perform within a training environment.
- IT literate, commercially aware and able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
**_Desirable_**
- Working knowledge of the BAE Systems operational framework as it relates to Life Cycle Management.
