The Opportunity We are seeking an exceptional Sales Director to drive revenue growth, lead high-performing sales teams, and expand our market presence in Saudi Arabia and the broader MENA region. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will develop and execute innovative strategies to position InnovationTeam as the go-to partner for enterprise and government clients, aligning with our mission of delivering transformative solutions.

Key Responsibilities Strategy And Leadership

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue growth targets and market expansion goals
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a dynamic sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities in key sectors such as AI, cloud services, and enterprise integration

Client Engagement

  • Build and nurture relationships with enterprise and government stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor to meet their unique challenges
  • Present tailored, value-driven proposals to clients, showcasing InnovationTeam's expertise in digital transformation
  • Thrives in complex sales environments with long cycles, especially within ministries and government bodies. Knows how to keep deals alive, navigate bureaucracy, align technical and business needs, and drive momentum until the contract is signed
  • Act as the primary liaison between InnovationTeam and key accounts, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional service delivery

Market Expansion

  • Drive business development initiatives, identifying and capturing high-value opportunities in new and existing markets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and execute go-to-market strategies
  • Represent InnovationTeam at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, enhancing our brand visibility

Performance Management

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing actionable insights to refine strategies and exceed targets
  • Oversee sales pipeline management, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting
  • Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes to optimize team efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) environment is preferred, with a strong understanding of global sales strategies, cross-cultural business dynamics, and enterprise-level client engagement
  • Sets a high standard for attention to detail across the sales team, ensuring proposals, contracts, and client interactions are precise, aligned, and risk-aware. Leads by example, ensuring nothing is overlooked in complex, high-stakes deals
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is a strong advantage
  • Experience working with AI, cloud, and enterprise integration technologies is preferred

Job Purpose

To lead the sales function, drive strategic growth, expand the customer base and ensure the achievement of revenue and margin goals in alignment with the company’s 5 -year Medium Term Plan (MTP).

The role requires frequent travel to engage with customers, support the sales team and oversee business development and strategic partnerships across assigned markets.

Job Context

The role will be based in Saudi – Riyadh. Visits to all the regions/clients/Consultants.

To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed to maintain and / or improve or accelerate the process, efficiency and outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

These will include:

Strategic

  • Lead the development and implementation of sales strategy for the Company’s key markets, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities and ensuring integration with wider corporate strategy.
  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive business plan aligned with the company’s 5-year Medium Term Plan (MTP)
  • Meets medium-term business needs.
  • Leads major strategic bids with key accounts.

Local Content, Regulatory Requirements , Compliance and Risk

  • Ensure full compliance with all company policies, legal requirements, regulations, contractual obligations, and ethical standards within the sales team and department.
  • Drive initiatives to maximize local content integration within sales strategies and offerings, contributing to the company's commitment to increase company local content.

Customers and Account Management

  • Develop and implement an account management plan for strategic, complex, global existing accounts to build key relationships at local, national, and corporate levels.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Coordinate the engagement and alignment of the sales organization with customers to ensure effective two-way flow of information and resolution of issues.
  • Manage strategic client and customer relationships to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and drive the Net Promoter Score to contribute to repeat business.
  • Support the sales team in opening new business opportunities in key (and new) markets and segments e.g. military, EV.
  • Foster strong customer relationships within the team and deliver customer-centric solutions aligned with input and support from other functions in LSA.
  • Contribute to pricing strategies and participate in key contract negotiations
  • Formally assess customer feedback and performance with data to convey an objective review of the level of service the team is providing; initiate continuous improvement ations when standards are not; align business process with customer needs, including relationship building and market entry planning

People and Performance

  • Embed the sales function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision, and values within the team and drive the required implementation actions needed
  • Motivate people to commit to the mission, vision, and values and do extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals.
  • Identify the organisation’s sales capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of the company and develop corrective workforce approaches where required
  • Manage and report on the performance of the function/business area; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
  • Develop and mentor sales team members to enhance their skills and prepare them for future roles, with a focus on identifying internal talent and preparing future sales leaders.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the department

Internal Stakeholder alignment

  • Collaborate cross functionally with marketing, engineering and productions teams to support company’s target

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Minimum Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive sales experience, including 3+ in a leadership role in the utility (SEC, Aramco and Marafiq) and industrial sector
  • Demonstrable knowledge of in medium voltage products
  • Proven experience of opening new markets and grow existing accounts
  • Experience of building key account relationships Management with SEC (Saudi Electricity Company) desirable
