Job Description
Lean is looking for a Sales Development Representative to join the sales team of one of the most exciting fintechs at the heart of the fintech ecosystem in the Middle East. You’ll be responsible for finding and networking with suitable companies in order to generate leads for the sales team, playing a key role in further growing Lean's business in KSA market. This is a great opportunity for a hungry, out-come driven individual looking to start their career in a fast-paced startup at the heart of the fintech ecosystem in the region.
About the Job
As an SDR, you will be the engine of our sales team, responsible for generating qualified leads and setting appointments with potential customers. You will be the first point of contact for many prospects, and you will play a key role in making a great first impression of our company. Your success will be measured by the number of qualified leads you generate and the meetings you schedule with our sale team
You’ll engage and qualify both inbound and outbound leads in order to create a pipeline that sets the Lean Sales team up for success. You’ll start prospects on their journey through the sales process, while learning the skills you’ll need to be successful in your own career journey.
This opportunity allows you to get exposure to a variety of industries and personas including senior decision-makers as you’ll lead the initial conversations. You’ll learn about your prospects' business challenges and determine whether there is a use case for Lean product offerings.
Who are we
Lean enables companies to seamlessly connect to their users’ bank accounts to initiate real-time payments and retrieve their account information. Our products have garnered the trust of leading companies and enabled them to deliver powerful experiences when connected with a user’s bank account, allowing users to perform prudent financial planning, get better rates on loans, transfer money to friends, and more, without compromising on privacy or security.
Backed by top-tier global investors including General Catalyst, Sequoia and Shorooq, and having recently raised $67.5M in Series B funding, we’re building the rails for Open Finance in MENA. We’re trusted by 250+ clients across the UAE and Saudi Arabia — including the likes of Binance, Etisalat Group, Careem, Sarwa, and many more - making it the region’s most valuable Open Banking platform.
Joining Lean means working on impactful problems, shaping the future of finance in the region, and being part of a fast-growing team that’s setting the standard for open banking in MENA.
Responsibilities
Engage with prospects to kick-off the sales cycle, in order to generate qualified opportunities for the sales team.
Use all available channels to identify and contact key decision-makers within the Lean target list of companies.
Research customers, identify decision makers, educate prospects and qualify buying interest and sense of urgency.
Meet and exceed monthly activity KPIs as well as deliver a high quantity of well-qualified sales opportunities.
Develop and maintain reports on prospecting activities, lead quality, and sales pipeline metrics. This includes preparing reports for weekly sales meetings.
Develop subject matter expertise on Lean products to consult prospects on the value we bring to our clients.
What we're looking for
A keen networker who loves building relationships, and who feels comfortable speaking with C-Level stakeholders
English & Arabic language skills
Experience in a customer-facing role is required (sales, support, customer service).
Experience with CRM tools and passion to set up and improve new workflows to increase efficiency.
Understanding of the fintech ecosystem is preferred.
NB. While we think the above experience could be important, we’re keen to hear from people that believe they have valuable experience to bring to the role. If you identify with the team and mission, but not all of our requirements, then please still apply!
Why Join us?Lean is the first regulated open banking and open finance company operating across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Since 2019 we've been on a mission to become the pre-eminent A2A payments company in the Middle East - enabling our clients to seamlessly connect to their users’ bank accounts to initiate real-time payments and retrieve account information. Our products have garnered the trust of some of the leading companies in the region, including the likes of Etisalat Group, Careem, Binance, Tabby, Tamara, Tawuniya, and more.
To date, Lean has processed billions of dollars, and our products have connected with hundreds of thousands of accounts across the region. We've recently announced our $67.5 million Series B funding round led by General Catalyst, following earlier investment from Sequoia Capital. This funding marks a major milestone for Lean and the financial ecosystem across the MENA region. At Lean, we’re committed to driving the next generation of financial innovation by making financial data and payments more accessible and transparent for businesses and consumers alike.
To that end, we're always on the lookout for talented, driven, and entrepreneurial candidates to join us in our mission of enabling the next generation of financial innovation. If you're motivated by solving hard problems and leaving a lasting legacy while you're at it, Lean's where you need to be.
Not only do we offer competitive salaries, private healthcare, and flexible office hours, but we also insist that every member of the team hold a meaningful equity stake in the business to ensure long-term alignment. We'd love you to join us for this journey!
Lean is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status.
When applying for a job at Lean Technologies, we will need to collect, use and share Personal Data about you with different members of our team during the application process. This may mean transferring your data to members of the team in one of our office locations worldwide outside of the country you are in.
