About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Health, Safety & Sustainability Manager to join the opening team at Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay. Reporting to the Director of Operation, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, hygiene, and sustainability policies across the resort, ensuring compliance with local laws and Four Seasons global standards. You will champion a culture of safety, well-being, and environmental responsibility for guests, employees, and residents.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain resort-wide health, safety, hygiene, and sustainability policies in line with regulatory requirements, environmental best practices, and company standards.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards or sustainability improvement opportunities, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Lead all fire life safety (FLS) initiatives, including evacuation drills and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate training programs for all departments, covering HACCP, first aid, chemical handling, emergency procedures, and sustainability practices.
- Liaise with government authorities to ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental laws, and manage external inspections and certifications.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, documenting findings and driving follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Housekeeping, Security, and Food & Beverage teams to implement safety, hygiene, and sustainability improvements.
- Oversee pre-opening certifications, sustainability initiatives, and operational readiness to meet both safety and environmental standards.
- Promote resort-wide awareness of waste reduction, energy efficiency, and eco-friendly practices in line with AMAALA's commitment to environmental stewardship.
What You Bring
- A degree or certification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hygiene, safety, or sustainability, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, ideally in hospitality or large-scale operations.
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi safety regulations, HACCP, sustainability best practices, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.
- Strong communication, training, and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in safety and sustainability management systems and reporting tools.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, LEED, or equivalent are preferred.
