Summary

The Compliance & Safety Lead is a vital role when comes

to overall Company’s compliance with external regulations, standards,

instruction, etc. and internal policies and procedures and best practices. This

role is important when it comes to employees’ safety and adherence to

environmental requirements and permissions. As the above is associated directly

with risk, this role will monitor risk issues and work with concerned

departments in developing and implementing mitigation plans to eliminate them.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance Management:

Conduct regular audits

and assessments to identify potential compliance risks.

Develop and deliver

Qualify and appoint

safety officers across the sites based on regulatory requirements and

business needs.

Work closely with internal departments to ensure cohesive Health and Safety efforts.

Perform investigations

on Health and Safety issues and recommend corrective actions.

Develop and maintain

health and safety issues log and keep it updated.

Environment

Develop Environment

Management System in Accordance with ISO 14001 and get the company

certified.

Conduct regular audits

and assessments to identify potential Environmental risks.

Develop and deliver

training programs to enhance staff awareness of Environmental issues.

Work closely with internal departments to ensure cohesive Environmental management

efforts.

Perform investigations

on Environmental issues and recommend corrective actions.

Risk Management

Develop and maintain

risk register.

Identify risk issues and

record them in the register and facilitate risk management regular

meeting.

Develop risk mitigation

plans and work with departments in implementing them.

Report critical risks to

management immediately for corrective & preventive actions.

Required Skills And Qualifications

Experience: proven track

record in similar role.

Methodologies: Strong

understanding and practical experience with ISO standards and compliance

frameworks.

Analytical Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze

performance data and identify root cause analysis.

Facilitating &

Communication: Excellence facilitation and communication skills equipped

with strong stakeholder management capabilities.

Project Management

Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver

results.

Auditing Skills

Proficiency conducting internal audits and reporting audit findings to

senior management.

Field Experience

Experience or minimum working knowledge in the logistics industry would be

advantage.

Certification: Hold

certifications that support his/her qualification in the field such as ISO

9001 Lead Auditor, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, GRC

Certification, Risk Management Certification, etc.

Reporting: Strong

reporting capabilities, and ability to develop ad-hoc reports whenever

needed.

Requirements

Education: A Bachelor

degree in industrial engineering, quality management, Governance, Risk,

and Compliance (GRC), Management Information Systems, or any other related

field.

Minimum of 8 years of

proven experience in similar role.

English proficiency is a

must.

Under the direction of a safety, health, and environmental (SH&E) manager or director, the Senior Health & Safety Coordinator assists in ensuring that the site-specific SH&E plans, workplaces, and operational tasks being conducted conform to Parsons' risk management practices and comply with the prevailing regulatory and client SH&E requirements.
Reports by dotted line to a project Delivery Manager or Program Director and reports directly to the Parsons corporate SH&E functional group through a project HSE project manager or program ESH Director. The incumbent must exercise good interpersonal and technical skills while becoming familiar with required client procedures and standards.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Assists the project or program manager with administering the SH&E programs.
+ Audits the project or program and its worksites against corporate standards.
+ Inspects worksites to detect hazard; provides expertise to project personnel to eliminate/control the SH&E risks associated with exposure to the hazards.
+ Creates and submits written audit and inspection reports.
+ Monitors project or program work planning and performance; verifies planning and work performance conforms to Parsons' Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) management system.
+ Implements Parsons' occupational injury and incident reporting and management processes.
+ Performs trends analyses on audit findings, inspection findings, and incident reports; creates and submits regular analysis reports.
+ Assists the project or program manager with new hire orientation.
+ Performs regulatory and best practice SH&E training.
+ Creates and maintains SH&E training records.
+ Participates in routine safe work briefings.
+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree in in Health & Safety/Environmental Management, Occupational Safety and Health or related field from a recognized university is required.
+ 5+ years overall experience, including 2+ years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety.
+ Working knowledge of Federal and State health and safety regulations and reporting procedures.
+ Working knowledge of safety-related national consensus standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA)
+ Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
+ Effective interaction in group settings, using judgment and discretion.

The Safety Officer manages a surveillance system that collects and analyzes data for the safety committee. This includes:
