Technical and Safety Management Engineer Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions (electrical, fire, chemical, trip/slip/fall hazards).
- Monitor and enforce use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in compliance with NFPA 70E and OSHA standards.
- Check and maintain site grounding systems for electrical safety.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) plans, Emergency Response Plans (ERP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform hazard recognition and hazard hunts on a daily and monthly basis.
- Document and recommend corrective actions to eliminate unsafe conditions.
- Verify fire detection, gas detection, and explosion-prevention systems are operational.
- Prepare and maintain daily safety inspection reports.
- Draft and update safety procedures for operations, maintenance, and emergency response.
- Document and file Safety Meeting Minutes (daily toolbox talks & monthly safety meetings).
- Maintain records of PPE distribution, inspections, and compliance checks.
- Lead incident reporting and investigations, including root cause analysis.
- Prepare corrective and preventive action (CAPA) reports.
- Report all incidents in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support emergency shutdown procedures and coordinate with Grid Control Center during critical events.
- Act as liaison with local emergency responders and regulatory authorities.
- Provide safety induction training for all new site personnel.
- Deliver refresher courses on electrical safety, fire prevention, and hazard awareness.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all departments.
- Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of safety experience in energy, power plant, or industrial projects.
- Experience with Saudi Electric Company (SEC) projects is considered a plus.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent.
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry or Construction Safety Certification.
- NFPA 70E Training (Electrical Safety in the Workplace).
- First Aid & CPR Certification.
- Fire Safety / HAZMAT Response Training preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities- Conduct & review HIRARC (Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control) documents annually or when needed and keep the records up to date.
- Conduct periodical safety inspections for all places in the Unit & Staff camp.
- Be an Escort for the ISO45001:2018 internal, external Audit team & corporate safety inspection to ensure the compliance of standard requirements.
- Verify the effective implementation of accidents corrective/preventive actions.
- Initiate, identify and organize safety training of employees and executives.
- Organize drills in the unit and camp, at least once a year.
- Verify records & report accidents/incidents and participate in investigations.
- Maintain ISO 45001:2018 Standard and keep records for all safety related documents.
- Review regional monthly safety reports and share with Safety section head & corporate safety teams.
- Verify the effective corrective/preventive actions & their implementation for all Audit/Inspection findings.
- Implement and improve safety plans, programs, and procedures.
- Review and countersign internal and subcontractors’ work permits.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety legislation.
- Keep the Unit Safety Manager/Assist Manager in Charge informed on all regional safety matters.
- Support units to maintain the GACA R 151 Certification.
- Enforce safety guideline implementations.
- Ensure PPE inventory and compliance.
- Participate alongside contractors during firefighting system maintenance and monthly inspection.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties related to the job and/or the operation of the company, in accordance with the regulations of the Saudi Labor Law.
- Adherence to cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Deal with data and information according to their level of classification.
- Avoid violating the rights of any person or company protected by copyrights, patents, or any other intellectual property, or similar laws or regulations.
- Compliance with cybersecurity requirements related to the protection of user devices, Internet, software, systems, and Email requirements.
- Adhere to the acceptable use policy and use SACC information and technical assets only for business purposes.
- Obtain the required permit from the security department or the owner of the authority in Catrion before hosting visitors in the company's specific sensitive sites.
