- Works closely with the Rolling Stock Maintenance Section Head to plan and coordinate on the installation of new rolling stock and refurbishment.
- Assists in rolling stock depots by providing technical support.
- Ensures rolling stock maintenance is conducted in a timely manner and reports any instances to the Rolling Stock Maintenance Section Head.
- Ensures that the rolling stock maintenance and installation procedures and guidelines established are properly adhered to both internally and by external suppliers.
- Reviews complex faults in the rolling stock and supports or obtains expert support to rectify faults / defects.
- Serves as the engineer responsible for acceptance of new rolling stock, depot maintenance equipment and additional train sets.

- Provides technical support when participating in technical projects led by other departments of SAR.
- Interprets information related to incidents or repairs, and drafts reports that determine the state of the rolling stock fleet.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer located in Jeddah. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing machinery, executing CAD modeling, managing projects, and contributing to research and development (R&D) activities. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring project timelines are met, conducting feasibility studies, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design skills
- Professional experience of not less than 3 years
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
