Duties and Responsibilities

As Receiving Clerk, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:

  • React to all daily operating problems and complaints rose and to offer solutions.
  • Work together with Storeroom Host to ensure that all incoming merchandise is dated, priced, and rotated in all circumstances.
  • Check all incoming goods against delivery orders and invoices, food specifications and purchase records to ensure that the type, amount, price and quality of items charged and ordered are correct and maintain safe, sanitary and organized storage of all items.
  • Issue, store, price and rotate all incoming goods for the resort and maintain a good balance between par levels of inventory items and on hand quantities in accordance to business needs.
  • Ensure Store Requisitions are approved by authorized persons and acknowledged by recipients.
  • Inspect food quality at receiving. Anything questionable must be approved by the Executive Chef or their delegate or the Purchasing Manager.
  • Accept delivery of engineering, retail, spa and flowers and other specialty items and contact originating department for verification and inspection of goods.
  • Maintain the highest level of business integrity in dealing with vendors and delivery persons.
  • Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
    Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Receiving Clerk, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent in Finance/Purchasing and Supply and at least 1 year experience in a similar setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
  • Technical skills include advanced MS Office, Outlook platforms and Materials Control (MC).
  • Fluent in English.

**Job Summary:**
Participates in on-the-job training (OJT) programs and assists the section officer in enforcing safety policies, procedures, and standards. Performs other related duties as required or directed by the section officer that is covered under the currently approved TAA.
The Shipping & Receiving and Packaging Quality Specialist provides expertise in shipping, packaging of military equipment, support resources, facilities charts and use, receipt and packaging of material, equipment, storage, transportation, full supply infrastructure.
This position is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
**What You Will Do**
+ Requisition, receipt, inspection, storage, inventory and issue of material, consumables, expendables, tools and equipment and modification kits required for Deep Maintenance (DM) activities.
+ Implementation of shipping, receiving and packaging criteria, conduct training, and technical support when required.
+ Follows up on all items received by the receiving area, sent to workhouses, but not received in the system. Reports will be reviewed weekly.
+ Establish and maintain stock records and other electronic databases to manage inventories, materiel control, and provide account and supply reports.
+ Work closely with Quality Assurance Directorate to define specifications for parts safeguard, material shipping, receiving and handling, special packaging procedures, and work instruction to support MTSD quality management system.
+ Coordinates all shipping, receiving and packaging supply and equipment safeguard aspects, support, procedure streamline, and documentation.
+ Establish and maintain automated and manual accounting records, post receipts and turn ins; review and verify quantities received against bills of lading, contract deliverables, purchase requests, and shipping documents; unload, unpack, visually inspect, count, segregate, palletize and store incoming supplies and equipment; maintain a stock locator system and administer document control procedures; pack, crate, stencil, weigh and band equipment and supplies for storage or shipment; assemble bin, shelving and other storage aids; and operate material handling equipment (MHE).
+ Assist in scheduling and conducting inventories of all equipment, kits, and supplies and coordinating with the local national officials for the conduct of joint inventories of received shipments.
+ Report inadequacy cases in shipping, receiving and packaging management, and develop and provide procedure improvement plans to RSADF command.
+ Coordinates all shipping, receiving and packaging supply and equipment safeguard aspects.
+ Trains the section personnel on the correct shipping and receiving methods, proper packaging of different military components and subassemblies.
+ Provides advice, training, and technical support to improve shipping, receiving, and packaging at MTSD shipping, receiving, and supply sections.
+ Specialized in warehouse organization and needs assessment.
+ Specialized in handling material to and from the warehouse.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
+ Working experience in material handling and requirement assessment
+ Have knowledge in enforcing safety precautions in warehouses.
+ Requires advanced knowledge within logistics, warehouse and/or operations management typically gained through extensive work experience and/or education.
+ May require vocational or technical education in addition to prior work experience.

Job Purpose:

Inspect deliveries with attention to detail and be in good physical condition to lift and move heavy items into the FC and to Ensure efficient receiving processes and promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies.

Key Accountabilities:


• Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate receipt of items ordered and placed in specified areas of the warehouse and documented.


• Ensure shipments are signed upon receipt, that packages are unloaded from incoming trucks, that contents are inspected to ensure they are not damaged, and that packages are verified according to orders


• Collaborates with the appropriate colleagues' stockers, OFA & team leaders to review expected deliveries on a daily basis,


• Regularly check inventory levels and place orders as needed to Maintain accurate records and assist with inventory control.


• Contacting the DC to resolve the problem in a timely manner If there are issues with shipments.


• Stocking shelves plus any other tasks as directed by FC manager or team leader


• Maintaining records of orders, delivery details and updating inventory.

Qualification:

High School diploma strongly Preferred.

Key Competencies:


• Must be able to do simple mathematical calculations, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure


• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos


• Ability to lift and carry


• Must be able to work 100% of the time moving about in the work area


• Ability to perform work tasks while bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching


• Previous experience in receiving, handling, and stocking in retail or warehouse/distribution environments preferred.
