**Overview**
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Saudi Arabia and will be an onsite position.
**Responsibilities**
Gathers information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and ensures requirements comply through formal verification methods. Translates high level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the network and system development. Designs interfaces and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.
+ Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers
+ Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts.
+ Installs all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
+ Designs, creates, and builds network services, equipment and devices.
+ Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
+ Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
+ Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
**Qualifications**
Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
+ Clearance Required: Secret
+ Bachelors in Technical field
+ Five+ (5) years of experience as an engineer supporting C4I systems such as GCCS, NAVMACS, HF, UHF, and VHF Radios and Antennas, Tactical Data Links (Link-11, 16, 22), CENTRIXS, Network Communications, SATCOM, ADSI, or VBSS
+ Three+ (3) years o f experience working with Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) equipment such as radars, GPS, AIS, APS, CCTV, VTC, etc.
+ Experience working OCONUS in security cooperation efforts or for foreign customers (i.e., not for US military bases or US Government (USG) facilities).
+ Experience with foreign disclosure reviews or similar experience such as sanitizing technical documentation, and interacting with USG and foreign senior military/government officials,
+ Experience performing requirements analysis, including activities such as site surveys, System Operation Verification Tests (SOVTs)

+ Three+ (3) years of experience with NAVWAR prime mission products.

**Posted Pay Range**

  • Execute engineering tasks related to Control and Telecommunication Systems under the supervision of the Instrumentation Discipline Lead.

Key Responsibilities

D. Project Execution
  • Review client technical documentation and project specifications.
  • Coordinate and review subcontracted engineering activities and ensure proper documentation flow and quality.
  • Define engineering design criteria, technical procedures, and system architecture.
  • Prepare and validate material and service requisitions for Control and Safety Systems.
  • Optimize system design for cost-efficiency while maintaining functional integrity and safety.
  • Prepare supply specifications for control, safety, advanced control, dynamic simulation, and operator training systems.
  • Contribute to P&ID mechanization and ensure control strategy alignment.
  • Validate Vendor documentation (functional specs, detail design, BOQs).
  • Coordinate detail engineering work and ensure accurate installation drawing preparation.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at Vendor facilities.

E. Construction and Start-Up
  • Participate in Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), loop checks, and functional checks offshore.
  • Provide on-site technical and engineering support during construction and commissioning.
  • Perform site-based engineering adjustments and optimizations as required.

Required Technical Skills

The Inside Systems Engineer is responsible for working closely with the Inside Sales department and to help inform, educate and influence partners, resellers and end users of our product offerings. Responsibilities include the ability to present Veeam messaging to varying numbers and levels of decision makers. You will be responsible for the creation of content and delivery of demonstrations to support Veeam messaging. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, technically competent Veeam Inside Systems Engineer with an ability to partner with other groups within the sales and support organization to close sales. The role requires strengths and a background in defining architectural strategies to guide customers toward the adoption of Veeam technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual customer meeting presentations and demonstrations
  • Implement and manage POCs to technical closure
  • Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups, etc.
  • Collaborate with the customer/partner to establish and translate business objectives into technical requirements
  • Independently consult with customer base to provide technical expertise on data protection
  • Work closely with the sales department to secure new partners and customers
  • Work closely with Product Management to provide customer feedback
  • Providing pre-sales support to customers as they evaluate Veeam software
  • Trains/mentors junior staff
  • Guides others in resolving complex issues in specialized area based on existing solutions or procedures
  • Acts as point-of-reference for new hires and peer colleagues

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated customer-facing technical experience is preferred Industry-based experience with data protection technologies
  • Industry based experience in storage, network and/or cloud-based technologies strongly desired
  • Basic experience working with monitoring tools and frameworks
  • Basic experience in data life-cycle management with IT audit requirements is preferred
  • Basic experience with virtualization technologies
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment; must be a high-energy, motivated self-starter and be able to learn new technologies quickly
  • Ability to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities
  • Excellent time management skills required
  • Deployment of software solutions into complex environments
  • Understanding of Veeam and/or similar technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to present to groups
  • Industry relevant professional certifications are desirable
  • English / Arabic written and spoken
