Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Civil Engineer (Saudi National)
to join our team in Green Riyadh Program. The SOW includes the construction of irrigation water tanks, irrigation networks, softscape, hardscape, and planting in 7 neighborhoods within Riyadh City.
What You'll Be Doing
- Attend Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action promptly.
- Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements, and international best practices.
- Report any works carried out by contractors found to not be in accordance with approved drawings and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
- Monitor the quality of irrigation works.
- Maintain records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
- Prepare surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at the site and nonconformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
- Check and ensure effective coordination between discipline-related works and all other disciplines.
- Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline-related issues on-site that may arise.
- Inspect site conditions to ensure suitability for the designed landscape works.
- Give practical advice on site conditions and execution matters.
- Inspect construction works to ensure compliance with approved methods and contract requirements.
- Maintain records of inspections, work executed, etc.
- Assist in or measure work done when required.
- Observe site safety procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of "as-built" drawings.
- Assist with the inspection of completed works, prepare punch lists, and handover to the operating authority.
- Review and approve shop drawings and methods of statements
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and typically 10+ years of related work experience.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
- Inspecting construction works at site.
- Review civil and construction drawings.
