Job Responsibilities
- 1. Ensure every project requirements are strictly followed by shop.
- 2. Prepare job ITP / QP as and when directed by the supervisor.
- 3. Establish new procedures, new methods where needed and get approval.
- 4. Suggest (or) Develop new and better fixtures.
- 5. To guide and train QC Inspectors and to cross check their outputs to ensure that QC meets the ITP / QP requirements.
- 6. To perform inspection wherever needed or as directed by the supervisor, inclusive of subcontract.
- 7. Able to lead the inspection team where and when needed.
- 8. Ensuring Quality products are shipped out.
- 9. Ensure Fabrication, Welding, NDT & painting activities as per their respective codes.

- 2. Clarify drawings / details / revisions etc., from Engineering Departments when needed.
- 3. Follow-up with Ware house, Shipping & Production Department for closing of NCRs.
- 4. Ensure that all the employees (Direct & Indirect) understand the above mentioned overall departmental objectives and work productively.
- 5. Help to initiate disciplinary action (if any) to ensure workplace safety, good employee conduct etc.
- A. Decision making at various inspection stages for acceptance or rejection of materials.
- B. Monitoring and control of subcontractors coating jobs, supervision of all coating activities and coating inspectors.
- C. Receipt Inspection, In-process and Final Inspection of all manufacturing processes.
- 1. Daily reporting to QC Manager on all inspection activities.
- 2. Ensure that all the employees (Direct & Indirect) understand the above mentioned overall departmental objectives and work productively.
- 3. Preparation of inspection documents on special jobs as required.
- 4. Coordination with customer technical representative (TPI) & understand their minimum requirements.
- Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

The Quality Control (QC) Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving project quality control procedures and systems throughout the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phases. This role is not an inspection role but is focused on quality control management, compliance, documentation, and coordination across all disciplines and departments to ensure project quality objectives are achieved.
Candidates with experience in Saudi Aramco projects and international certifications will be given preference.
- Implement and monitor project quality control plans (QCPs) and procedures in line with contractual and client requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure compliance with approved specifications and standards.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including ITPs, checklists, NCRs, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Review and verify subcontractor/supplier quality documents, such as method statements, material approvals, and welding procedures.
- Monitor site activities to ensure work is carried out in accordance with project quality requirements, but not performing actual inspections.
- Liaise with clients, third-party agencies, and internal stakeholders on all quality-related issues.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits, manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), and follow up on closeouts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality awareness training programs.
- Report regularly on quality performance and assist in root cause analysis when required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or relevant discipline).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality control roles in the EPC / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, ASTM, etc.).
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing) with strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Experience developing and managing QCPs, ITPs, and QA/QC documentation systems.
- Hands-on experience in project execution and quality systems, not limited to inspections.
- International Quality Certifications such as:
ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor
ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer)
IRCA Registered Auditor (or equivalent) - Previous experience working on Saudi Aramco projects with knowledge of Aramco quality systems and documentation standards is a strong advantage.
