Job Description
The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for receiving and facilitating the company's purchasing orders and processing them with the company's suppliers. Additionally, he or she will facilitate the payment process for suppliers and prepare periodic reports of all purchasing activities to submit to the supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Receive customer's purchasing orders (PO) and coordinate to issue them to the supplier.
- Review, analyze, and process requisitions and purchase orders to suppliers.
- Analyze quotations presented by suppliers and ensure the optimum quotation aligns with the customer's purchasing order.
- Receive purchased items from suppliers and ensure that the items received match those requested.
- Receive shipping documents from the company's suppliers.
- Facilitate and follow up on the payment process for suppliers in coordination with the accounting department.
- Receive and check supplier invoices and send them to customers.
- Receive customer's discrepancy reports and arrange to resolve them with suppliers.
- Maintain customer contacts and resolve customer complaints regarding services.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with the company's suppliers and establish and maintain their address records in the system.
- Perform any other related functions as directed.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field is preferred.
