Position : Supply Chain Planner

Job Purpose

The Supply Chain Planner will manage the end-to-end planning process, balancing demand and supply. Responsibilities include demand forecasting, procurement management, inventory optimization, and effective SAP usage to support business goals and ensure product availability across ABYAT stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market insights, and business intelligence to support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning).
  • Perform RCCP (Rough-Cut Capacity Planning) and align demand plans with supply capabilities to ensure feasibility.
  • Oversee procurement planning, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely availability of products.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, optimizing stock to balance availability with cost efficiency while minimizing obsolescence.
  • Drive the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) process within SAP to ensure alignment between demand, inventory, and procurement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align on forecasts and supply chain priorities.
  • Generate and analyze supply chain performance reports, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, timelines, and quality standards across the planning and procurement cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in demand planning, procurement, and inventory management within a retail or distribution environment.
  • SAP expertise is mandatory (planning, procurement, and inventory modules).
  • Strong knowledge of S&OP, RCCP, and MRP processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools is an advantage.

This role acts as a critical operational extension of the central planning team, translating demand plans into daily stock deployment execution within the KSA territory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and execute warehouse-to-store replenishments for all KSA retail and Ecom locations.
  • Ensure correct product flows in accordance with centrally driven supply plans.
  • Continuously adjust deployment based on sell-through, local animation, pop-ups, events, and priority needs.
  • Maintain and monitor store-level planning parameters in RELEX (e.g., safety stock, lead times, presentation stock, order parameters).
  • Fine-tune system settings based on performance, store profile, and local demand behavior.

Inventory Optimization & Control

  • Track inventory levels and stock aging in the KSA warehouse and stores.
  • Ensure optimal inventory health by avoiding overstock, stock-outs, or unbalanced distribution within the network.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for availability issues and recommend local interventions.

  • Collect and analyze supply chain data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare reports on performance metrics and suggest enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support in resolving operational discrepancies.
  • Assist in audit preparation and compliance documentation.
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling, correspondence, and recordkeeping.
  • Assist in procurement activities: liaising with suppliers, obtaining quotes, and supporting negotiations.
  • Collaborate with departments like Procurement, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Track and monitor deliveries to ensure timely receipt and processing.
Job Specifications: Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

0–3 years of experience in supply chain management or a similar role.

Skills:
  • Basic understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of supply chain management software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Languages:

The Opportunity

The Supply Chain Associate plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the product supply matches the demand of our customers. This role provides support to various teams to coordinate activities and documentation required to get our life-saving medications to patients across KSA.

Your Responsibilities
  • Support in preparing and arranging shipping documentations for incoming shipments, in order to be cleared from Saudi customs upon arrival along with reconciliation and tracking for all with coordination with Logistics and the 3PL and notify for any discrepancies.
  • Access and complete SFDA forms in Importing Batch release and Clearance System (IBRCS) for all products.
  • Audit and review invoices received from 3PL provider.
  • Upload needed data to arrange appointments for customers with full alignment with supply chain colleagues and upload all in shared drive to be communicated to our internal accountable commercial team.
  • Processing orders and confirmations from internal stakeholders and customers quickly and effectively and participate in tracking In-market POs status to determine outstanding quantities and support in fulfilling the orders.
  • Support internal/external audits through compilation of data as required.
  • Review all contracts and archiving with full notification prior expiry and initiate renewal process.
Who You Are
  • 2+ years of Supply chain experience or procurement, including basic legal or law contracting knowledge.
  • Good communication skills with proven ability to collaborate well internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of customs procedures, import regulations, and pharmaceutical-specific requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with full proficiency in Arabic and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite, knowledge and experience in SAP system and Microsoft Access.
