Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Project Risk Management Plan in accordance with client and Worley standards.
- Facilitate regular risk identification, assessment, and review workshops with project teams and key stakeholders.
- Maintain and update the project risk register, ensuring that all risks have clear owners, mitigation actions, and follow-ups.
- Lead qualitative and quantitative risk analysis to assess potential cost and schedule impacts.
- Support decision-making by providing risk-adjusted forecasts and recommending appropriate mitigation and contingency strategies.
- Report risk status, trends, and key exposures to senior management and client representatives.
- Ensure integration of risk management with change management, cost control, and planning functions.
- Provide training and guidance to project teams on risk processes and tools.
Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience in risk management within major EPC or mining/industrial projects.
Previous experience on mega-projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is strongly preferred.

Proficient in risk analysis tools such as Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, or similar.
Familiar with ISO 31000 or PMI’s Risk Management framework.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, especially in multicultural environments.
Professional certification (PMI-RMP, MoR, or equivalent) is an advantage.

The Risk Director is responsible for overseeing risk management across the project development lifecycle from inception through design, construction and to handover of deliverables. The individual ensures that potential risks are identified, evaluated, mitigated, and controlled to support the successful delivery of the project/s. This role involves close collaboration with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management to establish robust risk management strategies in complex and large-scale development projects.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Implement the Qiddiya Development Risk Framework comprising procedures, templates and processes, and seek continuous improvement
- Provide the leadership to guide the Qiddiya project team in implementing the risk management plan
- Implement the Project(s) risk management plan and produce Portfolio and Project Risk Register(s)
- Lead comprehensive risk management across all aspects of the $1 billion MBS Stadium project, ensuring successful delivery of this cliff-top engineering marvel
- Lead the preparation of project wide Risk Register and Risk Dashboard and other reports as may be specified, or ad hoc reports as required covering technical, commercial, environmental and operational risks
- Ensure that the appropriate risk data is captured and that risk assessments are carried out on all aspects of the Project
- Ensure that risk treatments are identified, and effective monitoring and review processes are undertaken across the Project
- Implement the necessary guidance and provide support to the Qiddiya Project team
- Identify changes to the risk profile, personnel, the work, or the work environment that may change the effectiveness of risk treatments
- Inform insurers of significant changes to the risk profile as required by any Policy of Insurance or other agreement
- Monitor compliance against best practice standards, codes, and Development risk framework including the assessment of Risk Maturity on the project
- Manage the assessment of the potential impacts of identified risks
- Lead and undertake Quantitative Risk modelling, including the Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) and Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA) quarterly reports
- Chair monthly risk review meetings
- Initiate & facilitate risk workshops with project teams to collect and record potential risks and risk drivers
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments during the project development lifecycle from inception through design, construction and to handover of deliverables

- 20 years of risk management experience on large-scale complex infrastructure projects ($500M+ value)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Risk Management, or related field required
- Essential experience in heavy engineering projects, long-span bridges, oil & gas megaprojects, or complex infrastructure in challenging environments
- Knowledge of Active Risk Manager and Safran software
- Proven track record managing risks on projects with international construction consortiums and complex stakeholder environments
