This role is ideal for a engineering disciple leader who can manage multidisciplinary engineering scopes, coordinate vendors and design teams, and act as the client interface across complex EPC projects. As the Project Engineering Manager, you will help deliver critical grid infrastructure aligned with Saudi Arabia's grid modernisation programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead engineering delivery for HV GIS substations and synchronous condenser systems.
Manage design coordination, OEM/vendor integration, and technical documentation.
Guide and support discipline leads and junior engineers across GIS, auxiliary, and rotating systems.
Develop engineering execution plans aligned with EPC project schedules.

Oversee design reviews, FAT/SAT, and hazard analysis sessions with stakeholders.

Support document preparation for O&M manuals, as-built records, and technical audits.
Requirements:
Degree or Masters in Electrical Engineering or related disciples.
5+ years' experience in HV substation engineering and project delivery.
Strong track record with 110kV, 220kV+ GIS substations; experience with synchronous condenser or rotating machines is a plus.
Familiarity with EPC projects and global OEM/vendor coordination.
Skilled in AutoCAD, ETAP and other project and design software.
Fluent in English and Arabic.
Based in Riyadh or open to relocation; regional travel required.

Role Purpose
Working as part of a single LINE organization to be accountable for the successful delivery of the Engineering Design and Construction of the Projects (excluding the Special Projects) which are part of THE LINE region.
THE LINE region contains a variety of projects in a 9,500km2 land area, including the initial Hidden Marina Mirror Line phase 1 modules, the Landscapes of THE LINE, three ‘special projects’ and the NEOM International Airport (NIA). This role is excludes the three ‘Special Projects’ but covers all of the other projects and will have dual reporting lines as part of the Project teams and as part of the Engineering team within the LINE Design.
Key Accountabilities
- Successful delivery of the Engineering Design and Construction scope for the Projects in a manner that supports the successful delivery of the project goals in terms of budget, schedule, quality and sustainability. Being part of the team accountable for delivering the multi-disciplinary engineering for THE LINE region.
- Leading a team accountable for managing the delivery (by others) of the Design and Construction of the Engineering systems related to the Projects whilst maintaining the iconic nature of the architecture.
- Overall accountability for the success delivery of the Projects engineering as well as meeting the other agreed project KPIs (time, cost and quality).
