**Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following**:
- Periodic maintenance, trainings to subordinate, problem solving.
- Recommends design changes to reduce costs, improve quality and increase product performance.
- Solves production problems and leads discrepant material reviews.
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives. Assist in the introduction of new/revised processes/products to the manufacturing system.
- Interacts on a regular basis with other functional groups and customers on technical clarifications.
- Coordinates manpower, and equipment requirements based on the build plan data provided by the planning team. Support daily production volume targets.
- Initiates and approves engineering change authorizations and Advance deviation request.
- Develop and maintain methods to assure compliance to quality assurance systems. Follow and assure safety guidelines are being met and report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervision. You will also be responsible for product transfer (RTP) projects to MEA.
- Validate production certificates (Calibration, Hydrotest, Material test certificate according to EN10204.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and take up with right stake holders
- Trouble shoot transmitter, span & linearity adjustments
- Conduct equipment Safety review
- Conduct risk assessment for all equipment’s
- Train the Instrument builders on Manufacturing procedures and manufacturing engineering changes.
- Check Equipment Inventory spares are available
- Attend Global Manufacturing calls & Global quality calls.
- Monitor production and help in clearing Work orders stuck in oracle
- Conduct Internal audits & Participate in Quality programs
- Present Corrective actions for non-conformance
- Take up 5S program on production line
- Collaborate with Supply chain ,logistic and quality departments for smooth execution of projects

Summary
The Paint Equipment Engineer will be responsible for taking the lead role in designing new Paint equipment at Lucid. The Paint Equipment Engineer will work closely with contractors, Manufacturing Operations, Facilities, Product Engineering, New Product Introduction, and other cross-functional teams to ensure Paint equipment is properly designed and installed.
Job Duties
- Demonstrate the ability to lead technical efforts of teams engaged in complex equipment engineering development.
- Demonstrate knowledge of paint processes from design such as PTED, Sealer, paint booth.
- Able to work cross-functionally with all disciplines involved in specifying and engineering Paint equipment.
- Work collaboratively with project team on all stages of Paint line development from conception to launch.
- Ability to efficiently implement engineering solutions on manufacturing equipment based on product design changes.
- Utilize analytic problem-solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, DOE or similar certifications/ disciplines.
- Familiarity with reading paint equipment schematics.
- Use of 3D modeling and simulations to validate equipment designs.
- Familiarity with equipment control systems, equipment I/Os and basic machine coding logic, PLC studio 5000 preferred.
- Work with layout engineering to prepare and optimize Paint equipment layouts.
- Experience working with the following equipment: paint automation, sealer automation, sealer dispensing systems, ASRS, conveyance, RO systems, Air dryer, Paint mix equipment, RTO, paint curing ovens.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering required.
- 5+ years in Paint Equipment/ Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience in the automotive Paint equipment design/ sustaining is a must.
- Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments.
- Possesses strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Catia and Delmia.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
