We seek to recruit a Technical Sales Specialist to join our client's Legal Ops & Tech Consultancy Team. The candidate would ideally be based in their Riyadh office and will be regularly required to attend client premises around the Middle East Region to offer technical support. We would prefer to recruit a Saudi National for this position; however are also open to Arab Nationals with the relevant skills.

This role will be working within a team that provides legal operations and legal tech consultancy services to the firm's clients and will act as the first point of contact for the sales team supporting with new and existing customers.

The sales and project teams offer support clients in delivering their operational transformation projects, mapping existing workflows, identifying process improvements and the technology tools that will be best suited to their use cases and project managing the implementation of such changes. This role will be responsible for managing sales tracking tools and CRM , liaising with the teams to ensure deals are progressing according to schedule and collaborating with the marketing function to generate and distribute leads across the sales team.

Purpose of the job:
The Technical Sales Manager is the primary techno-commercial resource with sales skills to strengthen the sales force. They combine technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice and support on a wide range of products and services. The role requires the ability to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to ensure complete customer satisfaction throughout all stages of the sales process. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships throughout the sales cycle is essential. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving all proposals for the Business Line sales in cooperation with the Sales team and GM or Sales Director if needed, and coordinating with the Operation Manager.

The Technical Sales Manager supports the business line proposal office staff and coordinates with the Sales Director or GM to develop new business and achieve sales targets.

Result Areas:

  1. Responsibilities:
    Responsible for reaching out to various clients in oil and gas, petrochemical, power, steel, desalination, and process industries. Business development and delivery of product and technical/maintenance services demonstrations. Represents the product and services to customers and organizes field events such as conferences and seminars to promote business. Conveys customer requirements to Product Management teams and convinces clients technically and commercially. Able to travel throughout the sales territory. Coordinates the technical proposal team for estimating and calculating, defining specifications, configuration drawings, system load calculations, etc. Manages mono-discipline proposals and coordinates between multiple proposal engineering Product Lines. Integrates multiple technical proposals and manages the Sales Team to achieve targets. Prepares and monitors Sales Reports.
  2. Contact & Coordination:
    Maintains direct contact with customers and ensures constant touch and close follow-up. Coordinates between multiple proposal engineering Product Lines and handles client contact for technical matters (bid clarification meetings, etc.).
Job Specification

Searching for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximizing client potential in designated regions. Developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements. Persuading clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery. Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs. Calculating client quotations and administering client accounts. Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services. Analyzing costs and sales, preparing reports for head office. Meeting regular sales targets and coordinating sales projects. Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events. Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs. Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts. Helping in the design of custom-made products. Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team.

  1. Information:
    Support in the onboarding and training of new staff under the schedule of the master program. Manage and update customer information like installed base, shutdown/maintenance planning schedules, OEM, competition level, etc.
  2. Marketing:
    Work in association with Sales Manager/GM to provide support in designing marketing strategies and coordinate with Stork Marketing HQ. Extend support to Sales Manager to produce standard presentation material and brochures. Understand company products and services, and develop business goals and strategy to achieve sales targets, map out clients, etc.

Under broad direction, utilizes expertise in specific aspects of a Product Service Lines’ (PSL) technology and services portfolio to educate Customers, Operations, and Business Development (BD) on features, advantages and benefits of the PSL solution offerings. Under broad direction, the Technical Sales Advisor is accountable for Delivery Execution. This entails utilizing a detailed knowledge base of specific sub-PSL products, services, and solutions in order to identify technical needs of customers through product knowledge and geographic understanding of challenges, aid the BD organization in pursuit of work through customer interaction and internal/external workshops, provide technical recommendations to BD for proposal preparation regarding solution up-sell, and aid operations and BD in the diagnosis and communication of solutions delivery issues. Technical Sales Advisors help establish the strategic direction in the work area through clear understanding of the local customer’s business drivers and technical challenges and are responsible for identifying and executing up-sell (POP Plan) strategies within a geography of responsibility. Maintains an overview of the external market and Halliburton’s marketing strategies by collaborating with the PSL, Region/Country Business Development, Account and Tech Teams to identify opportunities to grow profitable revenue and maintain awareness of the technology available from the PSL. Provides input to PSL technology project priorities through the understanding of the market, customer’s needs and technology gaps within the geographic customer base. Executes tactical action plans as set by Country management team. Must possess thorough understanding of the supported sub-PSL’s technology and broad understanding of the associated development tools. Understands and promotes the PSL’s quality directives and ensures that completion or workover operations are performed in a consistent manner in compliance with all HSE and OE policies and best practices. Requires completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering or related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy services industry, preferably as a field professional.
