We are looking for an Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer to join our team at Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME) under the Reliability Solutions Department (RSD).

Your primary role will be to provide expert guidance and support to optimize operations using Advanced Process Control technologies such as DMC3, PACE or Profit Suite. You will also lead improvement initiatives for all operating departments within the Global Manufacturing Portfolio.

As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

• Streamline APC objectives with corporate objectives and develop programs, best practices, and monitor KPIs to improve APC and economic performance.

• Expertise in APC, control systems, and Open Platform Communication OPC.

Overall Purpose of the Role

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the on-site technical focal point for Advanced Process Control systems in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Process Industries .
• Act as a bridge between client operations teams and engineering teams, ensuring seamless communication and timely resolution of issues.
• Provide pre-sales technical support, including site assessments, feasibility evaluations, and client workshops.
• Contribute to the development of technical proposals, including scope definition, architecture design, and control strategy outlines.

Education and Qualifications :

• Bachelor degree in Engineering – Master’s degree is preferred B.S., M.S. in (Chemical / Petrochemical / Process Engineer)
• Industrial Experience 10 Ayears .
• Minimum 5+ years of work in delivery organization is preferred.
• Certified on modeling and simulation platform.
• Certification in AI / Data Analytics / Deep Learning is a plus.

Competencies & Skills:

• Hands-on expertise in Honeywell Forge APC (formerly Honeywell Profit Suite), including configuration, tuning, commissioning, and lifecycle support of RMPCT (Robust Model Predictive Control Technology).
• Deep understanding of Advanced Process Control (APC), Real-Time Optimization (RTO), Performance Monitoring, and First Principles Modeling.
• Proven experience in design, deployment, and support of production accounting solutions and integrated planning & scheduling systems.
• Knowledge of value chain optimization across refining and petrochemical operations, with experience in margin improvement through APC and RTO integration.
• Familiarity with process modeling tools such as: Aspen GDOT, KBC Petro-SIM, Technip SPYRO, AVEVAl ROMeo is a plus.
• Proficient in a range of APC platforms including:Honeywell RMPCT, Aspen DMCplus, Rockwell Pavilion, Yokogawa SMOC, AVEVA APC
• Working knowledge of automation-IT integration, including OPC and industrial data protocols.
• Proficient in installation, configuration, and licensing of COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf Software) in secure industrial environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 15 years of work experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems for industrial and infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of process control systems, including SCADA, DCS, PLC systems, and automation technologies, with a focus on process optimization, safety, and performance.
• Experience in the design, selection, and specification of instrumentation, including flow meters, pressure sensors, temperature transmitters, level sensors, and control valves, for infrastructure projects.

• Oversees production of Work Breakdown Structure for design/engineering deliverables which is suitable for production of design documentation and is in accordance with procurement, construction staging and project phasing requirements.
• Oversees the governance of Shared and Published information within districts and sub districts
• Facilitates the coordination of interfaces between projects within districts and sub districts Infrastructure.
• Assists with the evaluation of RFP proposals and provides necessary support to the various business teams
• Assists, prepares and presents both progress reports and stage gate presentations for each project, highlighting key milestones, challenges, programmes, designs, costs / budgets and achievements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 15 years of work experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems for industrial and infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of process control systems, including SCADA, DCS, PLC systems, and automation technologies, with a focus on process optimization, safety, and performance.
• Experience in the design, selection, and specification of instrumentation, including flow meters, pressure sensors, temperature transmitters, level sensors, and control valves, for infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in control system design with experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), HMI design, and system integration for large-scale industrial operations.
• Expertise in network architecture for control systems, with an understanding of cybersecurity protocols for industrial control systems (ICS) and IT/OT convergence.
• Knowledge of KSA authority regulations and experience working with local regulatory bodies to obtain approval for instrumentation and control systems.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to manage complex systems and ensure the reliability and safety of instrumentation and control operations.
