We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Planning Engineer to join our team. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing project plans and schedules, ensuring that all project activities are executed efficiently and in accordance with project objectives and timelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in project planning, a solid understanding of project management principles, and a proven track record of successful project coordination and execution.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, work breakdown structures, and project schedules using industry-standard planning software and tools, ensuring that all project activities are accurately documented and aligned with project objectives and deliverables.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to define project goals, milestones, and resource requirements, and create detailed project plans that facilitate effective project execution and coordination.
- Monitor project progress and performance, tracking key performance indicators and project milestones to identify any deviations, risks, or potential delays, and provide recommendations for mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
- Conduct regular project reviews and assessments, addressing any plan changes, deviations, or modifications, and providing guidance and support to project teams to ensure that projects are executed in accordance with established plans and schedules.
- Analyze project data and performance metrics, and prepare regular reports and updates for project stakeholders, highlighting project achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in the development and implementation of project planning methodologies and best practices, and contribute to the enhancement of planning processes and tools for improved project efficiency and performance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that project plans are aligned with project requirements, stakeholder expectations, and industry standards, and that all project activities adhere to established timelines and budgets.
- Provide training and guidance to project teams on project planning protocols, tools, and best practices, and ensure that all team members are equipped with the necessary resources and information for successful project execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.
- Proven work experience of at least 10 years in project planning, with a strong focus on developing and managing project plans in the (specific industry) sector.
- Proficiency in project planning software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar planning platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices, with a solid understanding of project planning techniques and strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex project data and provide effective solutions for project planning challenges and optimizations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Experience in the fields of scheduling and planning in well-known consulting companies/construction contracting.
- Competence and skill in scheduling on Primavera programs (P3, P6) for project planning - the latest version, Informatics and graphic visual presentations of data (Infographics).
- Candidate who is fluent in Arabic and English is preferred.

- Lead the team nominated from all concerned departments and carry-out scouting and/or feasibility studies as part of the overall project gating system.
- Study all strategic options and validate the recommended technology selection for new infrastructure projects and other CAPEX form BUs related to Potable Water and Sea Water Cooling.
- Prepare benchmark cost estimation in Scouting study based on information in project request.
- Review the techno-commercial evaluation of the selected strategic options and prepare the preliminary design.
- Identify project segmentation based on project complexity evaluation and cost estimation in scouting.
- Identify Lessons Learnt and project risks and conduct risk assessment workshops with all stakeholders.
- Conduct schedule challenge meeting with all stakeholders to finalize the project schedule.
- Complete project deliverables and submit to QA-QC department followed by Approval Authority in each stage.
- Capex prioritization based on financial indices and project risks is carried out to establish the investment priority of each capex.
- Participate in site selection process with Royal Commission (as required) and other stakeholders in Marafiq.
- Evaluate the UAR for Potable Water and Seawater Cooling. from industrial customers in all industrial cities.
- Conduct clarification meeting with RC and customer as required.
- Review design packages from customers to ensure its compliance to UAR recommendations and Marafiq specifications.
- Review RC design packages for infrastructure development in all industrial cities with respect to planning perspective.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures.
- Implement and enforce departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to procedural and compliance requirements.
Position Requirements:
- University Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum Experience Requirements
- 5-7 years’ Engineering or facilities management experience in heavy industrial or utilities plant.
- Experience of Desalination and RO plants and Seawater Cooling Processes.

Will be responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of the project through a range of actions contributing to the design, planning, management and monitoring of project activities. Including organizing meeting times and locations, updating a project schedule and ensuring that all necessary parties are aware of project deadlines. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization s core values.
- Monitor the development process of all project and ensure projects completion within specific time frame, budget and quality by Coordinating the efficient use of financial resources of the Project, including budgeting and budget revisions, as well as expenditure tracking and reporting
- Ensure that all project management and administration functions on planning, reporting, resource mobilization and budgeting for the project are undertaken in a timely, professional and efficient manner
- Plan, coordinate and manage a startup project of the company
- Plan and coordinate the objective, layout, marketing, business direction of the project. Research and reports are expected during initial phase
- Liaise with multiple parties and manage project progress
- Communicating with team to understand and gather project requirements and coordinate with suppliers during new project development
- Make sure deadlines of each involved party are adhered to and met. Working with multiple parties is expected
- Responsible for occasional inspection and report on progress of work and Identify key performance indicators as well as develop and maintain a monitoring system to ensure effective information sharing, provision of feedback and elaboration of top-quality progress reports
- Drive and support implementation of EHS practices at site, ensuring compliance with EHS procedures and safe practices
- Lead quality efforts at site by ensuring compliance with procedures and processes
- Become GE point of contact at site and serve a liaison between FC SM and site team.
- Work closely with SM and RM to ensure resources assignment and crew composition meet the assignment technical and safety requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Travel may be required
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments

Required Qualifications & Experience :
- Higher Diploma or Degree level, preferably in an engineering discipline and/or significant relevant project management, engineering and/or construction experience.
- At least 1 year working experience in project management

- Provides support for field services with solid practical knowledge of processes and procedures. Works under a moderate degree of supervision, within established guidelines. Limited complexity; activities are generally narrow in scope. May act as a functional/technical lead, coordinating the work of others.
- 3 years of experience in Wind Projects

Key Responsibilities Retail Fit-Out Project Coordination
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Coordinate and manage all phases of retail fit-out projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation for store openings, remodels, and upgrades.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Source, evaluate, and liaise with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of fit-out works.
- Site Coordination & Supervision: Oversee on-site activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, company standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Budget Control & Reporting: Monitor project budgets and costs, track progress against timelines, and prepare regular status reports to stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections and quality checks to maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship, material usage, and finish throughout every store project.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, procurement, operations, and marketing teams to align project outcomes with overall business objectives and retail brand identity.
- Problem Solving: Identify project risks and challenges early, formulate solutions, and take proactive measures to prevent delays and cost overruns.
- Documentation & Handover: Maintain all project documentation and ensure seamless handover of completed stores to operations and retail teams.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in interior fit-out, retail construction, project coordination, or a related field. Experience with multi-site or regional retail roll-outs is a strong asset.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Interior Design, or a relevant discipline.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate stakeholders, and deliver on tight deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of fit-out processes, materials, MEP systems, and local building codes. Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, and reading technical drawings required.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with vendors, internal teams, and external partners.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and strong organizational abilities.
- Teamwork: Collaborative approach with the ability to work across functions and build strong professional relationships.
