- Location: NEOM, NEOM GREEN HYDROGEN PROJECT
380kV Substation, 380KV Underground cable and 380kV OHTL
**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support the full implementation of the project EH&S Plan
- Actively promote the development of a ‘Total Safety Culture’ and provide support during the implementation of all related (leadership) activities
- Act as a coach, both for EH&S team members and for Contractors
- Support the Contractors’ HAZID process
- Support the implementation of the Project Emergency Response Plan
- Ensure EH&S Risks have been assessed and risk mitigation measures are in place
- Assist project team in identifying project safety concerns
- Coordinate a program of inspections and audits in accountable area
- Ensure safety equipment is regularly inspected, fully operational and color coded
- Support the implementation of the Permit to Work process
- Monitor adherence to the LOTO work process, specifically that the LOTO is adequate and installed correctly
- Ensure all permits are adequately completed and fully implemented at site.
- Ensuring (sub)contractors’ safety programs and safe work practices are reviewed, and monitored on an ongoing basis
- Ensuring EH&S information/expertise is provided to the site team when solicited to ensure compliance to Air Products standards and local laws
- Coordinate safety training as required for the Contractor organizations
- Actively participating in and leading safety promotion events, campaigns, competitions, established programs
- Providing leadership to ensure prompt prioritization and coordination of all unforeseen issues at the site, escalating to the Air Products EH&S Lead or Manager as required
- Review JSA’s developed by the Contractor to ensure all risks are mitigated
- Attend Contractor TBT’s and Pre-Task Safety Talks and provide input where applicable
- Perform regular safety dialogues and formal PTW/JSA reviews
- Give input to ensure the accurate completion of the EH&S reports
- Ensure all incidents are reported immediately to the Area Construction Manager and EH&S Area Lead
- Act as a member of the Site Emergency Response Team as required
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental, Health and Safety or any relevant field.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent is a mandatory requirement
- Must possess a deep understanding of codes, standards, and regulations concerning environmental protection, occupational health, and safety, particularly in power transmission and distribution projects.
- Must have a deep understanding on the incident investigations,
- Excellent supervisory skills
- Being a good team player, good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be flexible enough to work long hours and travel to remote areas to oversee the project site.
- Experience in KSA would be an added advantage.
- KSA/International Driving license is a must for this position
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Physically fit and able to spend a large proportion of the day on site

- Develop implementation plans for Electrical Engineering that consider project-specific requirements, timelines, and budgets. Review and adopt the studies already carried out by the LINE Proponent Infrastructure team and the LINE Design Engineering team, develop further ‘non-project projects’ as appropriate.
- Utilize industry knowledge and network to source opportunities for Electrical Engineering. Evaluate and select technologies that align with our goals and can be seamlessly integrated into our projects.
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances with technology providers, research institutions, and industry experts. Foster collaboration to accelerate adoption of innovations where these have value to the process.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence. Provide mentorship, guidance, and direction to ensure the successful execution of the Electrical Engineering strategy.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions to overcome obstacles to ensure successful project execution.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of Electrical Engineering on project timelines, costs, and environmental footprint.

Candidates with substantial experience of teaching and research in the field of Electrical Engineering in general, and particularly in the following fields of specialization are strongly encouraged to apply. Relevant industrial experience is highly desirable.

The department has strong collaborative research and educational programs in communications, signal processing, power systems, automatic control, and electronics. It has excellent infrastructure facilities to support advanced research activities. The department faculty has also access to major research facilities provided by the University Research Institute.
Job ResponsibilitiesCandidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, advise and mentor students, supervise MS and PhD theses/dissertations and develop a funded research program appropriate to their field of specialization. The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to quality education and student interaction.
- Two-year renewable contract.
