We are looking for a Swimming Pool Technician to join the pre-opening of SLS The Red Sea . Ennismore, with its luxury brand SLS Hotels, is opening a project in The Red Sea. SLS The Red Sea is planned to open in 2025. This project offers 150 luxurious keys, 7 distinct Food & Beverage outlets, and a rejuvenating spa sanctuary. It targets adults seeking a getaway and families seeking connection and adventure, with amenities and activities for travelers of all ages.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on swimming pools, spas, and related equipment, including pumps, filters, and heaters.
  • Water Quality: Test and adjust chemical levels to meet health and safety standards; maintain proper chemical balance.
  • Cleaning: Clean and maintain the pool area, skim debris, vacuum the pool, and clean the pool deck.
  • Equipment Management: Inspect and maintain pool equipment, identify faults, and replace defective parts as needed.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure maintenance activities comply with local health and safety regulations and hotel policies. Safely transport and store hazardous chemicals.

Qualifications

**Duties and Responsibilities**

As Pool Technician, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:

- Ensure swimming pools and ponds are cleaned as per resort schedules.
- Carry out any specific cleaning or maintenance on an ad hoc basis.
- Carry out water analysis tests as per schedules.
- Carry out preventative and routine maintenance on swimming pools, ponds and plant.
- Work closely with Engineering department to maintain proper water quality and mechanical operation of the swimming pools and ponds.
- Liaise with Engineering Coordinator on the ordering of all pool chemicals.
- Maintain working areas and equipment in a clean and tidy condition.
- Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded. Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.**Qualifications**

To execute the position of Pool Technician, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience in a similar hotel operational setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.

Technical skills include water pump knowledge in how water is pumped to fountains, pools and thermal areas and basic mechanical skills. I have good understanding of pool PH levels, chemical handling, water levels and consistency of balance. I am comfortable to work in an outdoor setting environment.

Good in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.

Install, maintain, perform preventative maintenance on, and recommend replacement of tools, appliances, and equipment. Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, etc. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves. Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies as needed. Maintain inventory and purchase orders log. Inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Enter and locate work-related information using computers. Operate power lift. Complete the life safety checklist, including the fire-pump run test and generator run test. Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems. Assist in development of disaster response protocols. Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; and identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight. For fitness enthusiasts, the property will offer a bespoke collaboration with fitness trainer Harley Pasternak to seamlessly merge high-performance training with the limitless potential of Triple Bay’s 300 hectares (741 acres) of untouched hills, wadis, and beaches. About the Role
Join our pre-opening Engineering team as Pool Technician at Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring all swimming pools, water features, and related systems are installed, maintained, and operated to the highest luxury standards from pre-opening through daily operations.


What You Will Do


  • Participate in pre-opening tasks including inspection, setup, and commissioning of all pool systems and water features.


  • Perform regular maintenance, cleaning, and repairs of pools, Jacuzzis, and water systems to ensure optimal condition.


  • Monitor water quality, conduct chemical treatments, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.


  • Operate and maintain filtration, circulation, and heating systems for all pools and water facilities.


  • Respond promptly to operational issues and guest requests related to pool and water features.


  • Keep accurate records of maintenance, water testing results, and chemical usage.


  • Support Engineering and Recreation teams to ensure a safe, luxurious poolside experience for guests.


What You Bring


  • Previous experience as a Pool Technician, preferably in luxury resorts or hospitality environments.


  • Technical knowledge of pool filtration, chemical treatment, and maintenance standards.


  • Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.


  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


  • Suitable candidates must be eligible to work in Saudi Arabia. Fluency English is essential.
