Our company partners with leading global brands to identify and engage top-tier talent for fixed-term projects. The candidate selected for this project will be embedded to our customer's MENA Public Policy team and will serve as an independent contributor in a contractor capacity.
As a contractor Manager, Government Affairs and Public Policy, MENA, you will
lead government affairs initiatives, advising on geopolitics and market changes to support decision-making and business strategies and shaping/advocating for policy in support of presence in our MENA markets. This role requires representing our customer in the designated markets (Saudi Arabia, Egypt) and influencing government stakeholders across MENA. - Strategic Policy Engagement:
Proactively monitoring, analyzing, and responding to complex policy issues, advising internal teams, and engaging directly with policymakers and industry leaders to influence responsible technology policy. - Relationship Management
: Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance policy priorities and ensure optimal representation. - Program Development & Oversight
: Contributing to and leading the expansion of policy and program pipelines, overseeing multiple work streams, and assisting in the development and management of public policy campaigns across key areas (e.g., technology innovation, privacy, security). - Regional Expertise
: Identifying and tracking local economic and political developments, defining unique government affairs challenges, and developing tailored solutions for the MENA region. - Cross-Functional Collaboration

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, with typically 5+ years in government affairs, public policy, or a related field, with a strong focus on the MENA region. Experience working with or in government, politics, a regulatory agency, a policy 'think tank' or similar organization.
- Strong understanding of the technology industry and its intersection with public policy and a demonstrated proficiency in navigating the policy and political environment within MENA.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple complex programs, and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
