Job Description
Job Overview:
As a Sewage Treatment Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the hotel's sewage treatment plant. Your primary duties will include ensuring the efficient and safe treatment of wastewater, managing plant personnel, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plant Operation: Oversee the daily operation of the sewage treatment plant, ensuring that all systems are functioning efficiently and effectively.
- Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure the longevity and reliability of plant equipment and systems.
- Compliance: Ensure that all plant operations comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and standards.
- Safety: Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all plant personnel.
- Personnel Management: Supervise and train plant personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor plant performance and prepare regular reports on plant operations, maintenance activities, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to any plant emergencies, ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to address maintenance needs and ensure a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a sewage treatment plant supervisor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of sewage treatment processes and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using plant monitoring and control systems.

- Certifications: Relevant certifications in wastewater treatment.

Your Impact- The supervisor manages resources and activities related to the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power generating and control systems. The supervisor will have knowledge of: principles of electronics and electricity, including generation, conversion, transformation, distribution, and utilization; types, capacity, and purpose of low/medium voltage circuits, circuit breakers, switches, fuses, regulators, relays, instruments, and meters associated with electric generation and distribution; interpreting instrument and meter readings; wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, and technical publications; operating and maintaining internal combustion engines, generators, generating plants, distribution panels, and accessory equipment; use and purpose of test equipment; safety rules and practices; environmental policies; principles of management; and operation and repair of electrical power production systems.
- This discipline is responsible for continuous power production and supervision of power production technicians during their shift.
- This discipline attends meetings as required for projects or investigative/project development tasks.
- This discipline will be responsible for writing documents as needs are identified by the government.
- This discipline will follow all VGS standard policies and practices.
- Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date.
- Must maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date. Passport must have a minimum of 6 blank pages prior to OCONUS mobilization.
- Must satisfy pre-deployment medical requirements for CENTCOM prior to OCONUS mobilization and must be able to maintain a Medically Qualified (MQ) rating annually.

- Able to analyze data, motivate team members to excel, and, most importantly, consistently place the customer at the center of all decision-making.
- Willing and able to work weekends and provide overtime support as needed (AM & PM).
- Flexible with scheduling, including night shifts and variable work hours.
Basic Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
- Fluent in English language (Spoken/Written)
- Bachelor degree in Engineering related fields
