The role will focus on delivering complex Fire and Life Safety strategies and solutions across major infrastructure and building projects, ensuring compliance with local and international standards

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Fire & Life Safety team on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Lead design efforts to ensure compliance with relevant building codes and standards, developing performance-based design solutions where necessary, in collaboration with senior staff.

  • Communicate design requirements effectively and in a timely manner with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and effective collaboration across all levels of the organization and with external partners.


Technical Expertise

  • Take Commercial and Technical leadership for FLS projects, owning client relationships, and work winning through the delivery of technically excellence.
  • Hold a leadership position within the Specialist Services division to support the combined implementation of strategic goals for the business.
  • Up hold the highest standards of quality assurance and lead by example for others to follow.
  • Deliver high-quality, technically accurate design reports that align with client and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the development of fire and life safety drawings, with the assistance of junior staff.
  • Lead technical workgroups, reviewing architectural, FLS, fire protection, and mechanical/electrical drawings for compliance with fire strategy and relevant codes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in fire & life safety, with at least 5 years in leadership capacity.
  • Extensive knowledge of regional (SBC/UAE Fire Code) and international (NFPA, IBC, BS/EN) codes.
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale buildings or infrastructure projects in the GCC.
  • Professional certification (CFPS, CEng, PE) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

  • Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills required along with excellent communication skills including speaking and writing in English. Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies, speak in public, negotiate, explain fire protection concepts, and enforce standards while strengthening relationships, occasionally under pressure.
  • Should be able to work independently and as part of a team, enjoying professional challenges wanting to be an integral part of the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes.
  • Strong Project Management capabilities and understanding of Project Financial management.

The Fire Chief / Safety Advisor is responsible to the RSAF-HQ Director of Safety / Fire Protection for the establishment, management, and sustainment of RSAF requirements in Safety & Fire Protection, to include, but not limited to; management, training, quality, logistic, supply, maintenance, engineering, facilities, and resource activities

Job Accountabilities

Responsible for coordinating with various Safety Wing & Fire Squadron Commanders on all matters relating to airworthiness fire and safety, to ensure appropriate recommendations and remedial actions are provided to the RSAF.

Responsible for matters relating to directing, planning, and coordinating fire operations, training, maintenance, engineering, logistics and contractual issues arising within Fire Squadron commander as required, whilst providing impartial advice within maintenance and engineering in support of the RSAF strategic mission statement.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Serve as a primary focal point for all matters relating to RSAF Fire Protection and Safety Programs, and assume responsibility for overseeing and directing the management and delivery of major high value programs to meet RSAF requirements.

Ensure that all aspects of the programs are fully defined to ensure that RSAF requirements are achieved in accordance with RSAF Policies and Procedures, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and Standards, International civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and the International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA) Curriculums.

Provide a principal point of contact for RSAF-HQ, MODSAP, USMTM and private companies in respect of programs and proposals, negotiations, and their implementation, whilst ensuring all relevant information is reported to RSAF-HQ Director of Safety / Fire Protection.

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of aviation and structural fire protection management activities.

Fully conversant with fire protection concepts of maintainability using International References, and a comprehensive knowledge of fire service maintenance and engineering practices.

Managed numerous multi-disciplined and multi-national teams in a variety of complex problems and situations across a wide spectrum of aviation fire protection activities, having adopted a systematic approach to problem solving.

Develop, maintain, and manage key relationships with RSAF Base Safety Wings, Fire Squadrons, the Fire Training Centre and HQ Directorates to facilitate effective development, and delivery of agreed objectives.

Establish, develop, implement and continually review organizational and management structures to ensure the effective delivery of fire protection underpinning this activity with effective communication processes.

Coordinate the review, the progress of technical submissions, Statements of Work for Fire Protection and Safety Projects within the RSAF requirement.

Conduct analysis of the effectiveness of the fire protection and safety programs and provide recommendations on policies by which Fire and Safety Squadrons are maintained, ensure that the policies are implemented, controlled, and maintained to approved standards.

Able to think strategically and communicate a strategy / vision effectively, and lead a team towards goals and objectives and provide in-depth specialist advice to support RSAF strategic decision making.

**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Fire and Life safety** to join our team on King Salman International Airport (KSIA)! In this role you will get to designs, implements, and manages fire protection and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with regulations, enhancing safety, and mitigating risks in buildings and infrastructure projects.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Designs and develops fire protection and life safety systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, smoke control, emergency lighting, and evacuation systems.
+ Ensures compliance with local, national, and international fire safety codes, regulations, and standards in all projects.
+ Collaborates with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to integrate fire life safety systems into the overall building design.
+ Conducts fire risk assessments and hazard analyses to determine appropriate safety measures and fire protection strategies.
+ Prepares detailed design documents, including system layouts, technical specifications, and calculations, for fire protection systems.
+ Reviews and approves fire safety designs, ensuring they meet project requirements, safety standards, and client expectations.
+ Oversees the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems, ensuring functionality and safety standards are met.
+ Provides technical expertise and guidance to project teams, contractors, and clients regarding fire life safety design and best practices.
+ Performs site inspections to verify proper system installation and compliance with design specifications.
+ Stays current on fire protection technologies, codes, standards, and industry best practices to ensure designs reflect the latest safety innovations.
+ Performs other duties related to fire life safety design, risk management, and project coordination.
**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
+ Minimum 10+ years of experience in fire protection and life safety engineering
+ Professional certification or licensure (e.g., PE, CFPS) preferred
**SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:**
+ Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, life safety codes, and regulations
+ Proficiency in fire safety design software (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM) and MS Office Suite
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
+ Ability to conduct fire risk assessments and develop fire safety strategies
+ Experience in project management and coordinating the implementation of fire protection systems

Your Role – International, Challenging And Future-Oriented!

Portfolio Sales Enablement Manager for Fire Safety for the Middle East territory, you will support the Portfolio Sales Enablement (PSE) Head by focusing specifically on advancing the sales enablement activities related to Siemens' fire safety portfolio within the regional company. Your efforts will enhance market reach and improve customer satisfaction in line with Siemens' business strategy and growth goals.

  • Define and execute rollout strategies for the fire safety portfolio, ensuring alignment with the broader business strategy.
  • Define and execute management plan/ actions for the entire lifecycle of fire safety products, solutions, and services.
  • Position the fire safety offerings regionally to optimize market penetration.
  • Coordinate local rollouts of fire safety products with internal teams, HQ and solution partners.
  • Serve as the liaison between local operations and HQ Technical Units for swift implementation.
  • Coordinate regional resources efficiently for local / regional product management of fire safety solutions & Products.
  • Initiate and execute training programs for both internal teams and external stakeholders, emphasizing fire safety knowledge and insights.
  • Localize sales enablement materials and technical documentation to comply with local standards.
  • Continuously monitor local market dynamics, including competitor activities, regulatory requirements, and portfolio gaps.
  • Provide feedback and insights to influence product development and strategic adjustments.
  • Foster collaboration with other units to enhance market coverage and portfolio effectiveness.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and growth within the fire safety sector, encouraging cross-unit learning and development.
  • Drive initiatives that boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Implement strategies that align with customer needs and maximize Siemens’ fire safety business success.
  • Support Sales with key Accounts and obtain relevant portfolio approvals.

Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid!

  • Mechanical / Electrical or electronic engineering, master’s degree (MBA is preferred)
  • Experience in Fire safety -industry for a manufacturer or channel partner in a PM /business development role (7-10 years)
  • Experience in Fire detection Products / Systems.
  • Experience in Clean Agent fire extinguishing systems.
  • Experience in Global fire safety codes and regulations such as UL, VDS, EN54,…
  • Knowledge of Local / regional regulations such as Saudi civil Defence regulations
  • Knowledge in Saudi Fire safety market dynamics and requirements.
  • Strong understanding of regional and global market trends and regulatory requirements related to fire safety.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and innovation in a technical sales setting, preferably: for Siemens Fire extinguishing and / Or fire detection systems
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
  • Extensive experience in fire detection / safety or related fields.
  • Fluent in English (required); Arabic is a preferred
