Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:

  • Perform engineering, installation, operations, and maintenance of different types of IP-based routers and switches, as directed in individual Task Orders (TOs).
  • Use USAFCENT-provided standard network devices for routing and switching. The contractor shall maintain standard USAFCENT-approved operating systems on these devices.
  • Configure Tier 2 routing and switching devices for optimal operations in accordance with (IAW) NOSC standards.
  • Engineer, install, and maintain network equipment to support new and emerging requirements.
  • Provide responsive services to include real-time network-level configuration control, network restoration, quality control and performance standards, status reporting, MSL, and other actions required by policies, responsibilities, and operational procedures IAW the SPIN-C, and support all NOSC-deployed projects.
  • Require network rights and privileges commensurate with roles and responsibilities as indicated in the TO.
  • Network Management, monitoring, and sustainment;
  • Maintain compliance with all associated guidance and directives in the SPIN-C;
  • Maintain compliance with guidance and directives issued in CTOs and NOTAMs;
  • Maintain compliance with all associated DoD, AF, USCENTCOM, USAFCENT, and local Instructions;
  • Report and track, utilizing Remedy, all local and enterprise issues associated with network and systems operations.
  • Use only standard USAFCENT-provided network management tools to monitor and sustain network operations.
  • Assist the Government in maintaining positive control over all hardware and software. Hardware accountability shall be maintained using the Standard Base Supply Systems (SBSS) and Asset Inventory Management (AIM) system. All equipment transferred between organizations shall be done IAW SBSS and Information Technology Asset Management policies and directives. When directed, assist Government personnel by packing and shipping equipment transferred between organizations.
  • Be responsible for encryption equipment used on the network. This includes control and safeguarding, configuration, and “user-level” maintenance of Ethernet and serial encryption devices.
  • Coordinate with the COMSEC manager to ensure approved encryption keys are available for encryption equipment used on the network.
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled NOSC-directed meetings and conferences.

  • Experience on military networks: Cisco routing and switching technologies; managing networks with industry standard platforms, network performance analysis, Cisco IOS network configuration and troubleshooting; establishing new circuit requirements; and documenting network enterprise, developing continuity folders and as-built drawings

CERTIFICATIONS:
Must meet the certification requirement of DoD -M or otherwise stated in SPIN-C or individual task order. The contractor is expected to have, but is not limited to, the following IT certificate:
- Security- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) - RS or Datacenter
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Intermediate level of experience in design, maintenance, and operation of medium to large networks. Must have experience in systems management, monitoring and sustainment.
The likely salary range for this position is $80,179 - $108,477. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all shift positions are covered.
  • Check and follow-up any pending issues.
  • Ensure that shift staffs are aware with any significant information or abnormality that may require special watch, follow-up or action for any flynas flight for safe and legal operation.
  • Ensure that all required relevant information and data are available, clear, updated and aware each staff
  • Ensure that all work, flight planning and dispatch release is done accordingly and complying with GACAR
  • Supervise any short notice request received from GACA regarding airport closure, navigational aids shutdown and ensure that it will not affect flynas flights.
  • Supervise any decision related to weather conditions, concerning holding a flight, reasonable advise time and or cancellation of flight.
  • Shift duty manager supervises the flight watch personnel job, watch any overdue flight or missing movement log entries and ensure that all flights are in safe operations.
  • Monitor and log shift group members on and off duty hours.
  • Ensure adequate, required, updated manuals and publications are available in-flight dispatch shift area and are in good condition. Manuals distribution list is available and maintained.
Skills

Maintaining cost-effective flight schedules to meet optimum fleet utilization with optimum passenger convenience, combining all company efforts on daily basis for the best performance.
