Responsibilities:
- Create and submit knowledge articles to increase 1st-time fix rates.
- Develop, maintain, and update NOC processes and procedures.
- Ensure faults are escalated and resolved within the customer contracted Service Level.
- Proactively monitor IMO systems and networks via our internal monitoring system, investigating, troubleshooting, resolving, and escalating issues.
- Provide incident management and technical resolution of 1st line network-related faults and prompt escalation to 2nd line when required.
- Support and assist 1st and 2nd line support teams on all channels and products, especially with regards to technical issues which need escalation & higher-level investigations.
- Maintain and update the ticket management system throughout the incident lifecycle, ensuring high accuracy and detail.
- Raise, track, and manage all defect/problem tickets, implementing actions to mitigate recurring issues.
- Engage and provide feedback on system and process improvements.
- Track scheduled change requests, ensuring pre & post checks are completed, and document all fixes and changes to the network.
- Work with mixed vendor network equipment and IT systems.
- Diagnose root causes of network issues using analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Drive continuous improvement in technical support processes, ensuring they are regularly updated and support teams are trained on changes.
- Regularly audit and review processes.
- Improve alarm correlation and monitoring of all technical infrastructure.
- Provide weekly reports on network and service availability and performance.
- Be prepared to work on a rota for On-call duties, supporting 24/7/365 network operations, incidents, and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities
Support the Central Communications Facility's Quality Assurance/Inspection Configuration Office by carrying out the assigned tasks which include but are not limited to the tasks listed below.
- Advise/assist the management in issues related to Configuration Management of C4I assets.
- Review and update policies and processes/procedures to improve the Configuration Management processes for the installed C4I assets.
- Participate in the evaluation/update of C4I operational management processes like change management, configuration management, service desk, problem management and documentation control.
- Suggest improvements to the current C41 Configuration Management system.
- Work closely with the organization/personnel responsible for implementing a new Configuration Management system to:
- estimate the number of personnel required to maintain the design and baseline the database,
- advise on the personnel needed to baseline the database,
- arrange for and get the people trained in a timely manner for the new systems when it is implemented.
- Baseline the C4I Configuration Database using the current system but in a manner that it can be migrated to the new system without extra effort when the new system is implemented.
- Provide the Configuration Data related requirements to be included in the System Requirements and the Statement of Work for all new projects. These requirements will clearly list the information that shall be required from the vendor/supplier and the format in which it will be required.
- Ensure the vendor/supplier provides the configuration data as required in the Statement of Work.
- Coordinate with the Project Implementation personnel to verify that the configuration data delivered by the vendor is consistent with the implementation. In case the configuration data differs from the implementation, ask the vendor to provide as-built configuration data.
- Update the Configuration Database (or ensure it is updated) for all new systems using the vendor/supplier provided configuration data, for all approved changes (deletions, modifications, and relocations) when they are implemented, and for all service requests when they are fulfilled.
- Ensure all configuration related documentation is completed when a change to a system or subsystem is implemented.
- Conduct a periodic inventory of all C4I assets and audit of the Configuration Database to ensure the Database reflects the actual systems configuration accurately.
- Execute tasks assigned by the management related to the C4I systems and subsystems including attending meetings and conferences, preparing briefings, etc.
- Develop training material for On-the-Job-Training (OJT) and conduct training.
Qualifications
Shall have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. A Master of Science (MS) will be preferable. Must have working knowledge of C4I systems. Must have been trained on C4I systems and subsystems. Must have knowledge of principles of and processes for quality assurance.
Experience
1. The candidate shall have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in C4I systems in general and a minimum of five (5) years of this experience with C4I systems or systems of the same type and generation in a security/military environment.
2. The candidate shall have supervisory and managerial experience in C4I system management, installation, integration, testing, operation, and maintenance.
3. The experience shall include managing the configuration data for all C4I installed assets including Hardware and Software Configuration Items.
4. The experience shall include a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience populating, updating, auditing, and managing a configuration database and any associated documentation.
5. The experience shall include a minimum of another two (2) years working in a supervisory position carrying out the configuration management functions.
6. The candidate shall have experience demonstrating excellent communication skills including written and verbal communication skills.
7. The experience shall include demonstrated ability to work independently, completing multiple and often competing tasks.
8. Experience in C4I system management, installation, integration, testing, operation and maintenance shall be a plus.
9. Experience in specifying the requirements for content and format of the required configuration data for new systems is highly desirable.
10. Experience in implementing principles of and processes for quality assurance is highly desirable. Likewise, the experience with the code of practice supporting Total Quality is highly desirable.
11. Experience in deploying operational processes i.e., configuration and change management processes is required.
