The Job Description

  1. Configure and manage next-generation firewalls (NGFW) from vendors such as Fortinet & Palo Alto and ensure SLA compliance.
  2. Optimize firewall performance and conduct regular policy audits and rule base cleanup.
  3. Assist fellow employees with cybersecurity, software, hardware or IT needs related to security.
  4. Support new installations / branch establishments and visit remote sites when assigned.
  5. Manage Efficient IP DNS security solution.
  6. Configure and operate DNS filtering and monitoring to prevent phishing, malware command-and-control (C2) communication, and data exfiltration.
  7. Configure protective DNS policies, enforcing domain reputation checks and threat intelligence feeds.
  8. Monitor and analyze firewall and DNS security alerts for suspicious activity.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in firewall administration, network security, and DNS security.
  • Hands-on expertise in firewalls (Fortinet & Palo Alto).
  • Troubleshooting skills in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS, BGP) and security log analysis.
  • Fortinet NSE 4/7 (Network Security Expert).
  • Palo Alto PCNSA or PCNSE (Certified Network Security Engineer).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing SSL Inspection (Gigamon), VPN (Palo Alto, F5), Web Proxy ( ForcePoint ), Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet), DDoS Protection (Arbor), Advanced Threat Protection (FireEye NX), Intrusion Prevention Systems (Cisco, Trilex ), and Email Security (Cisco Iron Port, FireEye EX, ForcePoint ESG, Trend Micro Scan-Mail).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desired Skills & Certifications:

  • Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.

  • Vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Palo Alto, F5, Cisco, Fortinet, Arbor, FireEye, ForcePoint ) are highly desirable.

  • Experience with ITIL processes, incident management, and change management.
