Job Description:
The Network Architect/Administrator is responsible for supporting USG architecture planning for a CENTCOM Partner Network (CPN) technical refresh and expansion; procurement, installation, and configuration of CPN client hardware/software; procurement of CPN software licenses; installation and configuration of CPN related networks with associated communication security devices (COMSEC). The role includes operations support, maintenance, system administration, sustainment, and training for CPN, Agile Client, and related networked sites.
Required Qualifications:
• Six (6) years of experience in technical specifications development, process analysis and design, technical problem solving, and analytical/logical thinking.
• At least three (3) years of experience with the CENTCOM Partner Network and CENTRIX.
• Three (3) years of experience as a system manager/integrator in LAN, WAN, and IP-services leveraging COTS technologies.
• Experience with enterprise WAN/LAN infrastructures in military shore facilities, including Command & Control centers.
• Knowledge of information sharing tools like email, Web services, chat, and VoIP.
• BS degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Mathematics (or equivalent experience/certifications).
• DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (e.g., Security+).
• Current U.S. Passport.
• Extensive troubleshooting experience with Microsoft OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Cisco networking.
• Experience with cryptographic devices and COMSEC maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with leadership.
• Security+ and Cisco or Network+ certifications.
Desired Qualifications:
• Additional certifications like A+, Network+, MCP, CCENT, MCSA, ITILv3.
• Experience with help desk tools, troubleshooting TCP/IP networks, and enterprise system deployment.
• Physical ability to handle equipment up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with system administration of SEWS, GCCS, CPN, Cisco equipment, cryptography devices.

To lead solution architecture and design for 5G Core and EPC networks, ensuring interworking with other domains, driving transformation, and aligning with regulatory standards and business goals.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Designs 5G Core and EPC networks (AMF, SMF, UPF, NSSF, NEF, NWDAF, Core DO, MME, S-GW, P-GW, AAA, ePDG, DNS) to meet business requirements.
  • Develops capabilities for 5G standalone core, network slicing, private networks, and edge use cases.
  • Drives transformation and modernization of data services to align with emerging technologies.
  • Manages capacity and performance expansions for Data Core network components and services.
  • Ensures business continuity, georedundancy, and multi-layer resilience for data services, incorporating risk management guidelines.
  • Coordinates with Mobility, Transport, Fixed Services, IT, Cyber Security, and Operations teams for 5G and Data Core node integration.
  • Conducts end-to-end validation, verification, and acceptance testing for new VNFs/CNFs.
  • Designs and validates Data Core solutions, including NFV, OPNFV, service chaining, NFVI, VIM, and NFVO, approving related Method of Procedures (MOPs).
  • Maintains and approves technical documentation (HLD, LLD, integration specs, solution documents).
  • Validates vendor solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and the latest technologies.
  • Prepares and evaluates RFX, RFI, RFP, RFQ, and BOQs, supporting procurement and vendor evaluation.
  • Conducts POCs, proposes emerging technologies, and drives business value through operational efficiency and service enablement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in telecommunications, with in-depth expertise in 5G Core and Data Core design.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Telecom Engineering, or a related field from a reputed university.
  • Techno-functional role requiring expertise in 5G Core and EPC (e.g., AMF, SMF, UPF, NSSF, NEF, NWDAF, MME, S-GW, P-GW), NFV (NFVI, VIM, NFVO), network slicing, CUPS architecture, Telco Cloud, and Open RAN.
  • Hands-on experience in network automation and orchestration (e.g., Python, Ansible) and solution validation for Data Core networks.
  • Strong Data Core design skills, including network architecture design, cross-domain integration, vendor management, and business value creation.
  • Ability to lead technical and functional aspects of Data Core initiatives, balancing design expertise with stakeholder collaboration and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication (written, oral, listening), leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in executive reporting and presentations.
  • Industry-recognized certifications in telecom, cloud, or network design (e.g., Cisco CCNP, Nokia SRA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are a must, equal competency in Arabic will be an advantage.
  • Strong command of both English and Arabic languages (both written and spoken).
