Experience in Rigging inspections (Lifting Gears Inspection) Cranes Load Testing, LMI Verifications', and offshore Container Inspections.

The candidate shall demonstrate a theoretical knowledge along with a practical application of such tasks.

Responsibilities

• To conduct Lifting Equipment examinations such as (Offshore Pedestal Cranes, Over Head Cranes & Supporting Structure, Mobile Cranes, Towing Winches, Man riding Winches, Manual Lifting Equipment such as Chain Blocks & Lever Hoists) and Lifting Accessories such as (shackles, Wire Rope Slings etc.)
• To conduct Offshore Containers inspections.
• To carryout NDT (Non-Destructive Tests) such as UT, MPI, PT, for Welds Inspection purpose)
• To be able to get involved in Practical work along with the team whenever required such as surface preparations, handling of rigging accessories, help during load testing. etc
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and adhere to safety protocols
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Previous experience in the marine industry is a plus

This part of the role is about

• Developing Standards:
  Establishes and implements a Quality Management System (QMS) based on international standards like ISO 9001 and local electrical codes (e.g., Saudi Building Code, IEC standards).
• Documentation and Review:
  Reviews electrical designs, drawings, and material submittals to ensure they comply with project requirements and specifications.
• Process Control:
  Creates checklists and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for electrical installation activities like cable pulling, terminations, and equipment installation.
• Supplier Evaluation:
  Assesses and qualifies suppliers of electrical materials and equipment (e.g., cables, switchgear, transformers) to ensure they meet quality standards.

QC (Quality Control) - The Reactive Approach

This part of the role is about
identifying and correcting defects
during and after installation.

• Inspections and Testing:
  Conducts regular site inspections of ongoing electrical work. This includes checking conduit installation, cable tray routing, wiring terminations, and grounding systems.
• Material Verification:
  Inspects incoming electrical materials to ensure they are the correct type, free from damage, and have the proper certifications.
• Witnessing Tests:
  Oversees and documents critical electrical tests, such as insulation resistance (megger) testing, continuity tests, and high-potential (HiPot) testing.
• Non-Conformance Reporting:

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

Experience:

Purpose of the Job

The Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Engineer ensures that all project construction activities comply with FBS's quality standards, technical specifications, and client requirements. This role is responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures, performing material and site inspections, preparing documentation and reports, and supporting continuous quality improvement to enhance project performance and compliance within FBS's governance framework.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative and Supervisory Tasks

• Execute assigned QA/QC tasks in alignment with departmental goals, project schedules, and quality objectives.
• Coordinate with project teams, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure workflow efficiency and compliance with approved quality plans.
• Compile and organize required documentation, inspection records, and reports to support operational activities.
• Monitor task progress, identify potential issues or deviations, and report them to the QHSE Manager.
