**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.

The job holder is responsible for testing and examining metal fabrications and repairs, performs welding, heat treating and metal surfacing tasks, maintains testing heat treating, welding and metal surfacing equipment, designs and machines, precision tools, parts and assemblies, inspects machine work, and supervises aircraft metals technology processing and shop activities

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Performs machine shop calculations such as determining peripheral cutting speeds and settings for turning special threads.
- Tests specimens for predetermined requirements of tensile, bend, shear and impact strength using materials testing machines.
- Compares findings with material and strength requirements contained in blueprints, specifications and technical publications.
- Determines repair ability of damaged machined parts.
- Determines necessity for heat-treating parts and tooling.
- Controls heat-treating furnaces, quenching equipment and other equipment to alter properties of metal objects so as to harden, temper, anneal case-harden or normalize the materials.
- Heat treats nonferrous metals by solution and precipitation treating.
- Sets up and controls planting equipment to coat surfaces.
- Performs miscellaneous surface treatments.
- Performs metal working machinery adjustments and maintenance such as levelling machinery, checking gear trains for proper clearance, adjusting, repairing and replacing machine tool devices and parts.
- Evaluates inspection reports and surveys and makes recommendations for necessary corrective actions.
- Checks installed and repaired components.
- Reviews maintenance management publications, technical orders and other information regarding aircraft metals technology.

**RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION**
- Should have extensive proven aircraft welding experience, including a extensive experience on a fast jet or training aircraft.
- Metal repair and fabrication processes to include forging and welding, metal testing inspection and heat treatment, electroplating processes, applied physical and chemical metallurgy.
- Various metal cutting machines, hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Mechanical forces, stresses and strains as applied to tool and die design.
- Use of welding and metals inspection testing, heat-treating and electroplating equipment and tools and procedures for safe handling and storage of cyanide solutions, acids and explosive gases is mandatory.
- Experience in performing functions such as designing of special precision tool, gauges and dies, production of fabricated metal parts held to close tolerance and electroplating, forging welding, heat treating and metal testing is mandatory prior to recruitment.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage on our Client Focus path within BCG's Industrial Goods Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized BCG Vantage assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.). You will contribute on cases and proposals by contributing relevant analysis and insights and help case teams create strong impact for the client. While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.

You will support commercialization efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, through contributing analysis and insights to proposals, client workshops and marketing materials. Additionally, as a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage, you will contribute to developing intellectual property & assets for the business and assist in onboarding and training junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise.

This role has a focus specifically on the Mining Industry. YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Deep understanding of mining industry trends globally and across the Middle East, such as market dynamics and strategic developments
  • Possessing knowledge or experience in critical areas such as critical minerals strategy, resource exploration and development, value chain optimization, and market landscape analysis
  • Solving client problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approaches by applying your metals & mining expertise
  • Communicating with case teams and clients team members, in a credible and confident way
  • Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working

What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years of consulting experience in metals and mining sector required; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred
  • In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience required; 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
  • Fluency in English; other languages requested in certain locations
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Senior Knowledge Analyst – Industrial operations, Metals & Mining (On-site)

You will be based in our Riyadh office as part of our Saudi Client Capabilities Hub. You will work closely with our Global Energy and Materials practice who advises top management in the metals/mining sector locally and globally. As part of our hub, you will serve our clients across the Middle East, Central Asia, Turkey, and Africa region. Our hub is part of our global Client Capabilities Network which comprises of 3000+ client serving professionals with deep specialization across industries and functions. Your impact within our firm

You will deliver content expertise across topics such as maintenance, reliability and operations functions for our metals and mining clients. In this role, you will help clients build capabilities in delivery and execution, both during an active project and continuing after we’ve shared our recommendations. You will work in teams to build the capabilities, systems and processes needed to deliver results and then ensure those results are sustained. To do this, you will bring and maintain or develop genuine expertise in metals and mining sector across multiple clients you will serve. You will have responsibilities across all phases of our client development work, from initial business development and delivery to maintaining great relationships with clients during projects and beyond. You will collaborate closely with clients and drive analyses to provide unique insights. You will also support the development and maintenance of proprietary knowledge capabilities in conjunction with other experts in local and global practices. The position is open for Knowledge and Senior Knowledge analyst depending on relevant experience.
